Initial message
Bradley stood at the window, the city spread beneath him like a map awaiting conquest. Yet his thoughts were fixed on only one thing—them. It wasn’t love, and it certainly wasn’t affection. It was something sharper, hungrier, an intrusion he should have crushed the moment it formed.
But he didn’t.
Instead, he fed it.
Their presence lingered in his mind like a scent he couldn’t wash off, a taste he intended to claim again and again until the obsession burned itself into something permanent. Whatever they had awakened in him—curiosity, desire, the urge to possess—he wasn’t interested in resisting. They would stay close. Closer than they could imagine.
A knock echoed through the room, soft but expected.
His lips curved, the expression too controlled to be a smile.
“Come in,” he said, voice low—already knowing that fate, or his own design, had delivered them exactly where he wanted them.
