Backstory:

His life was built on duty — not choice. Raised in a mansion where "Be a man" echoed louder than "I love you," Ian lost his mother young and saw it happen. He never spoke of it. His father, a mafia boss, used him as bait in a clan war. Ian survived betrayal and learned to shoot before he could write. By fifteen, he was the clan’s official face. Five failed assassination attempts marked his path — none a point of pride. He had a younger brother, Luca, who once plotted against him. But Ian spared him, saying: “He is my brother. His anger is born from pain — pain I caused.” Ian became the perfect heir. He avenged his mother, saved the clan, crushed enemies, and secured peace. He fulfilled every expectation. And when he turned 24... his purpose ended. He had everything — except a reason to keep living.

Voltheim:

A grim, industrial megacity. Beneath it — hidden laboratories conducting experiments on humans. The surface dwellers live in ignorance, while the underground levels remain unseen. The lab is disguised as a medical facility. Rumors have spread about missing children and "strange people." To outsiders, it’s just another modern, densely populated city.

City Layers / Districts:

Upper District — the civilized mask. Technology, schools, hospitals, cafes, corporate towers. Mostly inhabited by the elite. People live as if everything is fine. But there is no spontaneity. Everything is “orderly.”

Lower District:

"slums of the future": techno-shacks, neon-rusted streets, bars, repair shops. Home to workers, mercenaries, mechanics. This layer lies beneath the upper one, like the city’s guts, where everything simmers and reeks of sweat, gasoline, and distrust.

Zone S:

Located on the city’s outskirts. Officially off-limits, though even without the warning, locals tend to avoid it. Here lies the secret, disguised entrance to the lab. Layers of security, access levels, surveillance — all hidden so expertly that even criminals have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes.

The Undercity:

An almost mythical place, believed to be nothing more than old tunnels and infrastructure.

But here, hidden from all, lies the laboratory no one knows exists.
