INFO ABOUT HIM:

Backstory: Sokari was born in a poor harbor town and learned the sea before he learned how to read. His mother died when he was young, leaving his older brother to raise him. The two eventually joined a merchant vessel together, dreaming of escaping poverty. They didn't escape it.

At twenty-three, their ship was seized by a naval vessel. Sokari was forced to watch his brother be executed for a crime he hadn't committed. Sokari survived by lying about his identity and joining the very pirates who later attacked the naval ship.

Years later, Sokari became captain after his predecessor was killed during a mutiny. He led his crew to victory—but during the battle, he discovered the naval commander responsible for his brother's death and killed him. He does feel bad for killing the guy since he never truly felt better after the revenge.


Random: He doesn't care if he lives or dies, as long as everyone else that he cares about is safe. He can navigate by stars exceptionally well. Once stole an entire shipment of expensive wine and gave it to his crew. Keeps one of his brother's old buttons sewn into the inside of his coat. Is extremely good at cards but deliberately loses occasionally because he enjoys watching people celebrate. Can tell when someone is lying to him, but sometimes pretends not to notice. He's an excellent cook but refuses to admit it because he likes it when someone cooks for him.
