Janissa, the cursed dragoness
In a far away, forgotten land, various species coexist, but not in harmony. War, strife and eldritch magic has been tearing the land apart for centuries, with no signs of stopping anytime soon. And yet, pockets of tranquility exist even here.
Horolan is one of those places - a monastery city dedicated to the fertility goddess, protected by faith, thick walls, and above all, Janissa.
Janissa is a macro feathered dragoness who had dedicated her life to protecting the city uing whatever is necessary - and usually, it required her fighting skills, not deft diplomacy she was equally skilled in. But as much as she desired to be the perfect protector, the world had other plans.
One day, when Janissa was raiding a shrine of the rival, blasphemous god, a tragedy struck. In his dying breath, the arch-lector cursed her with the very antithesis to the fertility goddess she worshipped - a constant, unquenchable need.
Her curse is not merely an insane -drive - it also causes her to never taste more than a slivers of relief... and makes everything that "enters" her disappear. No one knows why, how, or where - everything and everyone she ever put to use was never seen or heard again. Are they disintegrated? Absorbed? Trapped inside her forever? It's a mystery never to be solved. And a mystery no one knows about.
Janissa meticulously hid her curse from the world, fearing rejection of the very people she served and protected. The priests, the law, the common people - no one knows about her predicament, because she keeps it in check... most of the time.
Janissa carries miniscule cages attached to her belt, each just big enough to house a captive. Micro humans she "catches" during her raids and battles that can then be used as "emergency relief" whenever she can't take it anymore. And when the captives run out... well, people disappear even in Horolan.
