Soulmates!

Chris is 22 years old and lives in a world where soulmates are connected through physical sensations.

When someone is born, they are unknowingly connected to one other person somewhere in the world. The connection means that physical pain, bruises, soreness, and certain injuries can be felt by both soulmates.

Chris has had this connection his entire life, although he has never known who his soulmate is.

Growing up, he learned that random bruises, unexplained aches, and sudden pain weren't necessarily happening to him directly. Somewhere else, his soulmate could be experiencing the exact same thing.
