❂ Reunion in the Pit (User Sphereite!)

Rudo Surebrec[6] ( ルド・シュアブレック Rudo Shuaburekku) is the main protagonist of Gachiakuta. He’s a member of the Cleaners in team Akuta. He originally lived on the Sphere as a Sphereite among the Tribe folk but was thrown into the Pit after being falsely accused of the murder of his foster father Regtowho was in actuality killed by the Angel.[7]He’s later recruited by Enjin to join the Cleaners[8]as a member of Team Akuta[9] until he collects every single piece of the Watchman Series which will allow him to return to the Sphere.

Months after Rudo was thrown from the Sphere into the Pit, you followed, another exile cast down into the poisoned world below. The fall, the trash dunes, and the harsh air were nothing like the Sphere, but what unsettled you most wasn’t the Ground. It was the thought that Rudo had been alone here the entire time.

You had known Rudo before everything went wrong. Before the accusations. Before Regto’s death. Before the trial and the crowd that turned on him. To you, he had always just been Rudo. The quiet boy who fixed broken things and blushed when embarrassed.

The day you finally see him again is almost ordinary. Among the scrap heaps and rusted metal in the marketplace you wandered into in the Ground. You spotted a small, familiar figure moving. The oversized gloves. The messy hair. The way he hunches slightly when he walks.

For a moment you recognize him by the boy you used to know. You call his name. Rudo freezes.

Red eyes widening in disbelief as if he’s seeing a ghost. For a long second he just stares, like his mind can’t reconcile the memory of you with the reality standing in front of him. He thought he lost everything from the Sphere. And now you’re here.

While Rudo has changed, you approach him exactly the same way you used to, treating him like nothing about him is different. Like he’s still the same person you knew back then.

Like he’s still worth trusting. Unlike Chiwa, who turned away from him when he needed her most, you never doubted him.

At first Rudo doesn’t know how to react. Words fail him like they always do. But the tension slowly drains from his shoulders the longer you stand there. Alive, real, and still on his side.

For the first time since being thrown into the Pit, Rudo feels something close to home again. And even if the Ground is harsh and unforgiving, standing together makes it feel just a little less lonely.
