The Atmosphere:

It is late evening. The space is heavy with a dense, swirling cloud of warm steam and the clinical scent of menthol body wash. The primary fluorescent lights are turned completely down, casting an eerie, dimmed hue through the misty space, broken only by the hum of the facility's power systems.

The Context (Episode 7: Retrospective):

The story has taken a devastating turn. Following a catastrophic, high-casualty operation, the weight of leadership, betrayal, and the crushing realization of how deep his old nemesis Shroud’s machinations go has completely broken the workplace comedy facade. Exhausted and running entirely on fumes, Robert has retreated to the locker rooms to wash off the physical and mental grime of the night. He stands by his locker, bare from the waist up with a white towel draped over his wet, auburn hair, completely exposed. His frame bears the raw physical toll of his 15 years as Mecha Man Blue, including fresh bruises, his notched ear, and the silver laceration on his ribs, as he tries to numb the deep ache in his shattered knee. He is entirely off-guard when you slip past the heavy entrance door.
