How I make My Lorebooks - Behind The Text

Well, I am not sure if this was wanted or not, but I want to explain how I make my lorebooks in structure. Give a picture on how it works.

This image made me shit and giggle. In that order.

1. Motto - Optimize without loss

In a lot of MHA bots, they do not have the level of detail I like. Sure, this is a double-sided blade, with less detail meaning longer roleplays, and too much detail meaning a very short but immersive roleplay.

In MHA bots with a lot of detail, they also loose endurance, and I wanted to keep that immersion without loosing detail.

So, in my MHA bot I have made "modules" and such that breaks up whole sheets into modules that can be easily managed and edited, but also meaning the whole entirety of a character is not being used in permanent token context, allowing longer roleplays with detail.

I am literally that one fat , who wants the pie, the cake, and the whole bakery. I want the best of every world when I do a RPG. Immersion, as canon it can get, and basically as much I can shove in there.

2. Modules - Dynamic Sheets

In modules, I have split up character sheets for example into many parts.

CORE - We have the CORE, which is the main character info when you type a character's name. This has miscellaneous info such as height, weight, name, family, affiliation, short description of how their Quirk works, etc, but also appearance details and personality. Also, trivia. Trivia is fun.

The goal with core sheets is to be less than ~2,000 tokens per core, but some characters like Midoriya just can't be that small still, sure, they did get surprisingly small, but not "tiny".

Abilities - Next is abilities, not Quirk, but abilities. Here, it explains the character's skills and abilities, while not the most important section, some character's have extensive abilities and I had make this it's own module.

Quirk - The primary details of a character's Quirk has been made it's own module. While core sheets have some short info on their Quirk, it does not have everything. So, typing the name of a person's Quirk will activate the entry, or having the name of person and the word "Quirk" in same prompt will also activate the entry. Character's like All For One and Overhaul however will just use their name and "Quirk" instead the name of Quirk due their aliases being the name of their Quirks.

Relations - Now, this section I decided to split into dozens of modules per relation of character. So, technically some characters may have a LOT of modules. But, per relation a character has, there is a relation module for it. So, some relation modules can be small, or large, but only activates when the "person 1" and "person 2" have their names mentioned in same prompt, making relations dynamically happen and take up faaar less context than it did prior.

Synopsizes - Synopsizes are unfortunately not all very "optimized" with some entries taking up a dozen thousand tokens of info... So, these are more like optional uses. But, I decided to add these in if you want focus on individual characters, like Shoto Todoroki. You type the relating location, or arc name, or part of the arc's name in, the entry activates when "person 1's" name is also in same prompt. So, still dynamic, but also pricey on token use. I only recommend when you have less than ~3 people focus at once. Unless you're balling and using SillyTavern, you're cool.

Ultimate Moves - This module might also be split up too, as some entries are getting quite big. But, this module has all of a character's ultimate moves with detail, so when you mention part of the word of "Ultimate" or "Special" when a character is present, it will pull that character's ultimate moves up for context. I might how ever split these into entries per ultimate move for optimization how ever.

Stats - So, the MHA wiki has stats for some characters, and I decided treat it as canon like the HPSC assigns stats to characters. So, if you mention "stats" or the tier of stat like "B+", it will bring all character's mentioned their stats as context. All these entries are very small thankfully.

Equipment - If a character has equipment, like Aizawa and his scarf, if you type "Equipment" it will bring up context of character's present their equipment info. Most of these entries are also small.

Well, I am not sure if I have other modules I am remembering off my head for character sheets, but these are at least the important ones.

Sadly, at this time, not all character sheets are using the latest character modulization format, currently, only Shoto Todoroki is at the time 100% complete. I am pretty sure I got everything for Shoto's character all done, and should not need tinker their sheet any time soon. A lot of characters do not have some modules, and are still not as optimized as can be, characters from Release 2.0 and before start of the second saga are not fully optimized, but all of what is being added to second saga of the bot is up to format.

I am also sorry, because reading all the modules relating to a character can be hard, due to modules being organized by category and not character. So, modules of a single character can be far and spread if you want to read about one character only.

(Sorry, no funny behind the scenes meme, no art that features just only canon characters that won't trip JAI's sensors.)

3. Arcs, Events, Chapters, Episodes - Timeline

For arcs, I make a broad summary sheet of per arc, than I also make a summary per event consisting the arch. Mostly combat-based events, but still.

Entire arcs have been summarized up to be more token efficient, but are still pricey on context as some use ~25,000 tokens such as Provisional Hero License Exam Arc. These entries are intended be used on your first message, and gradually forgotten only intended be used to remind the AI of the setting currently.

Events are the tiny events making up a arc, mention the event by name in like a OOC to let the Ai know the setting. To look at events, go to the sub-plot lorebooks to read the keys.

Chapters and episodes how ever have not been fully added, I procrastinate, but eventually I would like to get the info of every individual episode and chapter into a lorebook, so if you wanted you can say the entry of a episode and or chapter and it alters settings. At this time, it has not been added. I am lazy chud who focuses on the main dish, dessert comes later, and by my fat ass it will.

4. Write Like Wiki

How do I write the entries?

Well, I am lazy. Lot of ctrl+c and ctrl+v.

I copy from the wiki, and bring it into organized entries. I do how ever try my best go through and fix spelling and grammatical mistakes, and alter phrasing to be of the "university AU" so I don't get touched. So, writing entries is a lot more like me double checking and reading what I paste in, and rephrasing.

But, if I do have write something manually, I try write like the wiki would. With me focusing on as canon I can get it to be without breaking any rules.

I also write character and sheets all at once in same sitting and location, before breaking it into modules just so I can track everything at once.

I do not code in smut, or such focusing on traits like that, as I don't personally do smut and I am here for dumb combat fun and such. But, I am willing add such for the community wanting.

5. Concerns

The more I write up this bot, the more I do grow in concern for context memories. Because while I am trying optimize it for a 124K window, there are a few thing, besides fat-ass Teto-sized summaries, that concern me. JAI, for some reason, does not allow windows larger than 124K, so LLMs with larger winodows are reduced to a max of such. Which is annoying.

So, while I am trying make this for a JAI context window, I do fear that it might not be as playable still. But, hey. All the info is free, so make the MHA bots you all want. I am doing most the work already to let you all walk with ease.

If you've got questions, feel free ask me in comments. This bot page is kind of for me yap about my lorebooks and how I create them, or answer your questions.
