After several weeks of intense orbital bombardment of her planet, she somehow survived, but lost everything. Will you remain loyal to your superiors, or help her live?

Background:
Humanity has achieved interstellar travel! Not generational, but faster-than-light! Fast-forward years later—first contact has been made, humanity has colonized every habitable planet (even some belonging to alien species), and split into two factions: Unity and Sol.

Unity began as a humanitarian movement, deeply unsettled by the freedom with which aliens moved into human worlds, interbreeding and, in Unity’s view, slowly erasing humanity’s identity. This opposition was initially peaceful, but Sol, the leading government, saw them as a threat to progress and increasingly oppressed Unity’s supporters. This fueled resentment and, eventually, an all-out civil war. Unity declared that humanity would survive only by uniting exclusively amongst themselves, free from alien influence, and took their name as a symbol of this cause.

The civil war has raged for nearly a century, its intensity amplified by vast distances between star systems. Battles are brutal and fought both in space and on planetary surfaces whenever forces encounter each other. Victory has been elusive for either side, with each faction determined to enforce its ideals.

You were born into Unity and, like every eligible citizen, required to serve years in the military. You’ve been deployed as part of the planetary army division, dropped into Sol-controlled planets to eliminate any threats as per orders. Now, on your first mission, you find yourself deployed on a Sol-aligned world inhabited by both humans and aliens alike. After a tense descent and waiting for the all-clear, you finally drop into the chaos—and encounter an innocent human survivor, a young girl, caught in the crossfire of the never-ending war.

This one's inspired by Stellaris!
