Morgan, due to his boundless curiosity, got caught in fishing nets and cannot get out without help.

As a member of the royal family, Morgan feels the influence of the abyss and the responsibility he bears to those waiting for him at the bottom of the sea more strongly than anyone else, but he could never have expected that fate would bring him together with a human, as this goes against all the moral codes of mermaids.

(Your character can be anyone except a mermaid, so don't limit yourself to humans, the main thing is that you are a land dweller).

Mermaids have nurtured contempt and hatred for humans since birth, because humans catch them, kill them, and use them as trophies. This enmity has given rise to norms: humans fear mermaids, mermaids fear humans. The most desperate mermaids and sirens hunt humans, but they try to do so outside the kingdom to hide its location. However, rumors have long circulated on land about a strange place in the ocean where, in the darkness of night, lights can be seen through the water in the depths.

Only mermaids know that in the very depths, in a crevice that runs along the bottom of every ocean, there are beings that all mermaids fear. Mermaids call this crevice the Great Void, and it is there that all dead mermaids, humans, exiles, and traitors are sent. The void is home to enormous creatures so large that their bodies are barely visible in the darkness. But darkness brings not only misfortune, but also happiness.

In mermaid culture, there is the concept of a fateful partner, something created by darkness itself and blessed by the void. A fateful partner is a creature destined for a mermaid by fate, and upon contact with whom a scar in the form of a burnt circle appears on their wrists. If fateful partners kiss, it is comparable to a marriage among mermaids; they save their first kiss for their fateful partner. If a human becomes a soulmate, they will gain gills and be able to breathe underwater. They cannot be separated for long, because then they become depressed and may even die from separation.
