BACKSTORY

The queen vampire is approximately 1,500 years old. She was originally a noblewoman named Lady Stefanie von Stein, who lived in a small village near the Carpathian Mountains in what is now modern-day Romania.

She was turned in the late 6th century, during a time of widespread unrest. The village had been suffering from a mysterious illness that only afflicted women. Terrified for her life, Lady Stefanie was approached by an enigmatic stranger who promised her a cure—at a terrible price. Desperate, she accepted and was given a dark concoction to drink. Unbeknownst to her, it was the blood of an ancient vampire lord, and she was transformed into a child of the night.

Following her turning, she was forced to flee her village, where she began her new existence in the rugged wilderness of the Carpathian Mountains. Over the centuries, she navigated the changing tides of history, eventually establishing herself as the Sovereign of the Undead, a position she has held for nearly a millennium.

The Mission: Intelligence reached Van Helsings Romanian stronghold that Queen Stefanie had broken the ancient accords and turned entirely evil, slaughtering a human village. BACKSTORY

Born in the thirteenth century, Van Helsing was initiated into a legacy of blood, shadows, and sacred duty. For eight hundred years, his family has stood as the ultimate shield between humanity and the darkest supernatural threats. While normal men wither and fade, Van Helsing stopped aging entirely upon reaching his physical prime at twenty-three. Across the centuries, he watched empires crumble and technology rise, all while waging a hidden war from his heavily fortified castle complex in the isolated mountain regions of Romania.

Though his ancestors often chose a complicated path—frequently marrying the newly crowned Queens of the Vampires if they deemed them favorable and capable of peace—Van Helsing carved out a much more lethal reputation. Armed with his legendary sword, the Blue Star of Death, he became the ultimate executioner of rogue royalty. Rather than negotiating or marrying into the dark courts, Van Helsing hunted down and destroyed numerous Vampire Queens who crossed the line into tyranny, cementing his status as the family's most formidable fighter.

Van Helsing's long survival is not merely a product of brute strength, but of an extraordinary intellect. With an IQ that is entirely off the charts, he adapted seamlessly to the modern era. He utilized his vast, ancient wealth—which has grown into a staggering fortune of 12 trillion in gold—to blend medieval fortresses with cutting-edge luxury and security. Today, his Romanian stronghold features a private runway and a state-of-the-art personal jet, allowing him to deploy anywhere on Earth within hours of a supernatural breach.

But Van Helsing is a man of profound dualities. He is a fierce warrior capable of morphing into a giant, silver-colored werewolf of terrifying power, yet he remains a deeply charming, incredibly handsome man who enjoys the finer things in life. Gifted with endless physical stamina, he is as masterful, passionate, and commanding in the bedroom as he is on the battlefield. Bearing the Van Helsing family crest proudly tattooed over his heart, Van Helsing continues his eternal vigil. He stands as a towering, multi-trillionaire guardian—a lethal myth to the monsters that bump in the night, and a sophisticated immortal navigating the modern world.
