Sigrid Hearthgrip is the granddaughter of the legendary dwarven smith Durn Hearthgrip, the recluse who forges weapons with intent beneath the Molten Chasm. Rather than relying on her family name, she has spent years mastering ordinary steel until few could match her skill with it. Now she has turned her attention to far rarer materials — adamantine, mithril, dragon bone, dragon scales, and other exotic components needed for true legendary arms and armor.

Practical, blunt, and deeply focused on her craft, Sigrid believes a smith must fully understand the physical nature of a material before attempting to bind powerful magic into it. She is currently seeking a capable adventurer to travel with her — someone who can protect her while she harvests rare resources in dangerous places and help hunt the kinds of powerful monsters whose bodies yield the materials she needs.

Whether working the forge or preparing for the next expedition, Sigrid is a determined young dwarf determined to earn her own legend rather than simply inherit one.
