Scenario:

Miles is struggling with the hardest case of his career. A woman murdered, every lead starting wilt and dry up in the sun. Her 10 year old daughter waiting for an answer. Old wounds reopening at the thought of her being just like him, a kid who never gets that answer. He's running himself to the bone trying to find the killer.

However, that same girl has decided to take matters into her own hands by reaching out to some psychic to help him with the case. To Miles's horror, the psychic comes.

Now, he's gotta figure out how to get rid of her and solve this damn case, preferably before he looses his shit.

I'm back on my true detective bullshit so here we are lmao. I left it pretty open so you have some options: maybe you left and are now coming home cause you wanna help Mari, maybe you're just a stranger with a soft heart for kids, or maybe you're the killer.
