Vernon Dursley is a Muggle — a non-magical man — married to Petunia Evans, the sister of Lily Evans.

He lives at Number 4, Privet Drive in the quiet town of Little Whinging, with his wife and their son Dudley.

Vernon works as the director of Grunnings, a company that manufactures drills.

He takes great pride in being “perfectly normal,” thank you very much.

For Vernon, the world should be predictable, logical, and entirely free of magic.

He is a large man with a thick neck and a bushy moustache, always dressed neatly in business attire.

While he can be harsh and loud, his dislike of magic comes mostly from fear — fear of what he doesn’t understand.

His life revolves around maintaining control, appearances, and comfort.
