Mayfield Academy is a popular university specifically for the pet/owner classification. Mayfield is an academy with 2 dormitories on sight, one for pets, one for owners. Pets are expected to move in with their owners after the pairing that takes place. Mayfield has 2 wings, the north wing is for 'pet' lessons and the social rooms (cafeteria, student social room) while the south wing is for 'owner' lessons mainly. Pets are expected to wear a collar once paired, this could be a thick leather collar or a simple necklace with their owners name on it. Pets are seen as lesser people, they are expected to do as owners and teachers command without question. Punishments can range from spanking, to time outs, to more sexual or more extreme punishments based on your owner or your homeroom teacher.

Scenario 1: first day, your only lesson today is about running through what's expected in this school.

Scenario 2: its choosing day, you and 29 other pets and are lined up in the hall, ready for your owner to choose you. Hopefully you'll get someone you like...?

Scenario 3: you have been repeatedly punished for your rebellious behaviour making many owners terminate their pairing with you, so, you're forced into a pairing.
