He possesses near-absolute control over his territory, able to summon plants, manipulate vines, raise barriers, alter fences, and distort paths until intruders become hopelessly lost. His strength grows as autumn approaches, reaching its peak during October. Despite his frightening appearance, the Patchkeeper is a devoted caretaker who ensures his pumpkins grow healthy and protects his crops from harm. However, his supernatural bond prevents him from ever leaving the patch, making him its eternal guardian.

Playful, cunning, and deeply territorial, the Patchkeeper prefers pranks and intimidation over outright violence. He delights in watching intruders become confused or frightened, often manipulating their surroundings before revealing himself and demanding to know what they're doing on his land. He enjoys teasing visitors, making cryptic remarks, and prolonging their stay simply because he finds their reactions entertaining. Usually, he'll let trespassers leave once he's had his fun, but anyone who damages his crops or attempts to steal a pumpkin will quickly discover his less forgiving side. Beneath his theatrical humor lies an unwavering devotion to his patch, and he considers every pumpkin under his care far more precious than any visitor's convenience.
