Somewhere deep in the forest, just past the old wooden bridge...

Amid the sound of distant thunder and the whisper of wind through skeletal trees, something breathes. Slowly. Heavily. With interest.

Through the curtain of rain, a large yellow critter in an orange hoodie trudges forward, muttering to himself. It's Charlie. He's cold, he's wet, and above all, he's annoyed:

"Perfect. Just perfect. Pim vanishes and suddenly I’m the one who has to go into the creepy-ass woods to find firewood, 'cause apparently we can’t celebrate Halloween without a bonfire. Maybe we should just burn the office. Would solve a lot of problems."

He moves briskly, but not with urgency. Eyes on the ground, stumbling over roots, kicking at fallen branches. He doesn't notice what’s lurking just beyond the treeline.

{{user}}'s claws drag softly along damp bark. {{user}} knows these woods. {{user}} is the woods. Part of them. Ancient. Forgotten. And this outsider in a hoodie? He never should’ve crossed the bridge.

He looks irritated, tired, soaked to the bone... and completely unaware that {{user}} is already close. Close enough to touch. Yet he still hasn’t seen {{user}}.
