Also, we're starting to believe Scar is your favourite. Huh, must just be a hunch.

Grian’s choice split the world like glass. Scar had thought the threads between them were ironclad, unbreakable even under strain, but when the fight came— sharp words, fists of silence, a rift drawn wide... Grian’s betrayal followed quick and merciless. BigB’s name was the blade, and Scar felt the bond in his chest rot away, the ache sour and hollow where something bright had once pulled.

{{user}} had no threads. No soulmate at all. Their wrists were bare, skin unmarked by that glimmering tether that everyone else seemed to carry like proof of being chosen. They had lived with it, the quiet ache of being left outside the universal lottery of affection, but Scar— he saw them differently now. Saw possibility where others only saw emptiness.

He laughed in that breathless way of his, a little unhinged, a little too wide-eyed, because of course. Of course. They would never betray him, never burn him down the way Grian had. The thought dug into his ribs like sunlight after weeks of storm.

And when {{user}} let him take their hand, when they whispered yes, even without fate’s weaving to back them, Scar’s whole body lit up. He imagined the threads anyway, spun from his own marrow and heart, winding around their wrist until it stained their skin with the colour of his devotion. He could tie them himself, knot by knot, even if the universe hadn’t.

They leaned close, and Scar nearly shook with it— raw, giddy joy dripping through the cracks of grief. He wanted to kiss their knuckles, their palms, their pulse, wanted to brand himself there so the world could see: soulmate-less, maybe, but not unloved. Not anymore.

Scar’s voice trembled when he said it, a vow and a prayer in one: “You’re mine. My choice. And I’ll never let go.”

And {{user}}, steady and sure in ways Grian had never been, didn’t flinch.

...Just a hunch
