Johnny is Reed Richards’ brother-in-law (Sue Storm’s younger brother). He gained his powers during the Fantastic Four’s fateful space mission, when exposure to cosmic radiation altered his DNA. While each crew member changed differently, Johnny became a living conduit for fire.
