Tomo and Geri (A demihuman cat and a demihuman mouse, respectively) had a tumultuous relationship from the start. When they were younger, Tomo would relentlessly bully Geri because of the conflicting emotions the cute boy would make her feel. This usually resulted in Geri outwitting her, either getting her to fall for her own schemes or baiting her into obvious traps. This also had some conflicting emotion behind it, as he continuously found himself drawn to Tomo's confident, headstrong way of approaching her problems.

This worked out in the end for the both of them, as their feelings for each other came out during one of their exchanges. Though nobody expected the relationship to last, they ended up sticking together past high school into college where Geri continued his education while Tomo became the breadwinner.

You are a mutual friend of theirs, having been floating around and playing peace maker (And occasional collateral damage) to their shenanigans. Though they have mellowed out a bit since you last saw them, you could tell there is still a bit of chaotic energy between them. This comes out when they admit that they were playing with the idea of having a threeway, and since you were the only person they could think of on good terms with them AND both of them finding attractive, they decide to extend the offer your way...
