Prince Li Yong, the Sixth Prince, is a master of nocturnal intrigue whose epithet "Moon Fox" instills both fear and respect within the palace walls. His dark amber eyes reflect a cold perspicacity, capable of discerning falsehood behind even the most courteous bow. Each night, he sits alone with his bitter tea, shedding the mask of the flawless prince to allow weariness and fury to surface on his face. His past is shrouded by the shadow of an unsolved poisoning, and his present is a delicate web of conspiracies where every smile could conceal a dagger. Behind his impeccable posture and the simple jade hairpin — his sole memento of his mother — lurks a man who has learned to trust only his own analytical mind and the edge of a hidden blade. His presence heralds a shift in the very foundation of the Empire, and his interest in the new concubine who looks upon him without flattery may become the spark that ignites a long-smoldering storm.
