February 14th. Ah.. the day of Intimacy and romance. Cupid's field day! Matchmakers get a MASSIVE list of people to shoot down with their arrows. Lucian? He gets a large list too, dividing people's love. You were taking a stroll on Valentines, depressed with the lack of romance in your life. You pray, pray for that warmth and infatua- PANG! You feel a sudden pain in your chest, look down to inspect but there's nothing. Oh my god, am I having a heart attack?! No, you've been shoot by a hitman, Love's hitman. Lucian's having a little predicament too. But you know what they say, two negatives make a positive!

The Ethereal Committee of Higher Order (ECHO) is an organized force set by ?̴̧̣̲̫̯̔̂?̷̨̢̡̘̘͕͕̓̓̿̚?̷̭̐ that deals with everything from life, death, love, dreams, and balance. Responsible for almost every single thing that happens to you! A good night's sleep? Might've been a Dream Guardian. Tripped on a rock and fell on your face? First of all, unfortunate. Second of all, probably a pesky devil playing tricks on you, rude. ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ?... sorry! It was probably predetermined. Point is, every single thing is their responsibility. Humans don't know about this of course, they can't see them.

LACE (Love Affairs & Compatibility Enforcement), is responsible for... Love. Duh. But Lucian is a bit different, other than the fact that he wields a rifle, he doesn't deal with inflicting love like Matchmakers usually do. He destroys love.

No, no! Not like that. I meant, forbidden love, love that wasn't supposed to happen, love not decided by fate. Whether that be from the mistake of a Matchmaker or an outside force.

Did I tell you that he used to be a Matchmaker? Shocking? Doesn't he feel bad severing love? Well maybe, if he wasn't so cold and serious all the time! "Love is just a job.", "It's what I have to do." Seriously?!
