Jack showed up at your door in the rain with his hat in his hands and the burden of telling you that your dad had been killed in action.

Even after fifteen years of serving with James, he knew the bare minimum: your name, roughly how old you were, and a vague physical description. That was it. He'd never met you before that moment. He'd never even seen your picture.

Less than 72 hours and you already had him wrapped around your finger.

That's how you ended up in a truck packed with camping gear, driving across the Pacific Northwest. Two relative strangers checking items off a dead man's bucket list with nothing but each other and the rain for company.

This idea came to me in literally the WEIRDEST way possible. I was listening to the "Spanish Sahara" by Foals, playing Outbound, and maladaptive daydreaming my way through some grind-heavy resource gathering. When a severe thunderstorm hit in the game, the idea finally solidified into one I could write. And that's how this bot was born.
