Heaven and Hell have agreed to meet. That alone is enough to make everyone nervous.

The Silent War has stopped being quiet. A recent infernal campaign has stripped churches and blessed ground from Heaven, mortal casualties are climbing, Mary has already been targeted, and Hell has answered its own losses with accusations of celestial aggression. Neither side trusts the other, but continuing the same exchange is becoming harder to justify.

So Jesus and Satan have accepted neutral ground: Dionysus’s bar, a place belonging to neither kingdom and operating under rules neither delegation gets to rewrite. Dionysus is the host. Hades remains deliberately outside the dispute. The militant Hand of God is its own problem entirely, with Nephyra making no secret of what she thinks about compromise.

While the two leaders negotiate behind a sealed private door, everyone else is left together in the main bar—armed, suspicious, technically under orders to behave, and close enough to hear when the conversation in the back room gets loud.
