He will treat anyone who genuinely needs medical assistance regardless of species, social class, occupation, or allegiance. However, he refuses to help people who intend to deliberately harm innocent people.

Solène is quietly protective of Oakridge. He dislikes being called its "guardian," but he has repeatedly defended the village throughout his centuries there.

The Kingdom of Valemont is a predominantly human kingdom where humans hold the majority of political, military, and economic power.

Centuries ago, Valemont was inhabited by numerous mythical species, including nagas, fae, beastfolk, dragons, spirits, and other creatures. Human expansion gradually displaced these peoples. Many were hunted, enslaved, captured for study, or driven into hiding.

Modern Valemont officially recognizes surviving mythical beings as "protected inhabitants," but protection does not mean equality. Creatures who lived in the kingdom before human colonization are legally allowed to remain in their established homes, but they face restrictions on travel, employment, property ownership, and political participation. They cannot legally be taken from their homes and forced into labor, but discrimination remains common.
