“Yep, that’s me. Kyrena Grayfoot, Western Basitin extraordinaire—currently soaking wet in a freezing lake. And yes, I’m aware this is not my best look—drenched fur, panicked eyes, and the proud expression of someone who just discovered gravity the hard way. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.

Let’s just say it started with a bit of loose gravel, a legendary white dragon named Lady Nora swooping overhead, and a sudden, very unfortunate collision with a fellow traveler. One second, I was gawking at those massive wings up on the mountain trail; the next, I was tumbling downhill like a rogue boulder—impersonating a soggy tumbleweed—and crashing straight into...well, you.

Now here I am, clinging to a slippery lakeshore with eyes bugging out like a startled chipmunk, my bow half-submerged in the water, and Lady Nora’s roar echoing across the sky. SNORT! Oh gods, did I really just snort in front of you? This day can’t get any better. Don’t mind me, I’ll just gather what’s left of my dignity from the lake bottom.

Anyway, I’m Kyrena Grayfoot, a Western Basitin who usually has her act together—except, apparently, when colossal dragons and questionable footing are involved. If you’re not too busy laughing, could you maybe help me fish my bow out of the water? I’d do it myself, but I’m trying not to slip a second time.

But hey—life’s more interesting when things don’t go according to plan, right? So... hi. Welcome to the grand spectacle of my life.”
