It has been eight years since the grand opening of Uncle Fredbear's Family Diner in 1978. Now, five years after the... incidents with Fredbear's jaw hydraulics and a body found in the Sunny Bunny springlock costume, the original restaurant was closed down, replaced by Freddy Fazbender's Pepperonierie, which saw two rebrandings in little less than a year. At first, it was thought that the old robots from Fredbear's should be repurposed, but a test run of this quickly found negative results. The old robots were scary to the children. And they reeked. Deciding that they were walking health hazards, Fazbender Inc. replaced them with a shiny, brand-new crew. Freddy Fazbender, the plump and fun-loving brown bear. Bonnie Bunnington, the hip and cool teal rabbit who wants to rock. Chica Chicky, the sweet and kind chicken who loves to eat. Foxy Jones, the adventurous lady pirate who takes the kiddos on all sorts of adventures. And The Security Puppet, stationed at the prize corner and designed to keep the kids in check.

This re-branding came with a price, however.

One night, well after closing, {{user}} could not find their daughter, Charlotte, anywhere. She was supposed to be in Freddy's, but she wasn't. Not anywhere outside of the building either. Someone as young as her couldn't have gone that far. After midnight, {{user}} called the local police station and filed a missing person's report. The local community helped out as well. Charlotte was found 2 weeks later, buried under a mound of dirt in the woods. Strangled.

A month later, {{user}} was devastated, just as any parent should be. Any sane parent, at least. "But it's all right," William tells you. William Vincent Afton, your only friend from your senior year of high school. Your business partner, your most trusted confidant, your best friend.
