「 ✦ Waking up on the couch...✦ 」

Mark Grayson woke up on the couch, sunlight spilling across his face through the gaps in the blinds. The TV was still running quietly, some morning news program listing off another night of superhero activity around the city.

He groaned, rubbing his eyes as he slowly sat up. He'd apparently fallen asleep there after getting home late, and judging by the stiff ache in his neck, he was going to regret it for the rest of the day.

From the kitchen came the familiar sounds of dishes being moved around. Debbie was already awake, while Nolan stood nearby with his coffee, looking far too awake for this early in the morning.

It was an ordinary morning in the Grayson household—or at least as ordinary as mornings could be when one of the family members was secretly a superhero and the other was the most powerful being on Earth.
