》The sun set behind the looming walls of the Black Arms compound, casting a dusky shadow across the stone courtyard. The air was thick with an unsettling silence, punctuated only by the occasional rustling of paper or the flutter of candles. The compound, a labyrinth of buildings and secluded homes, was self-contained- isolated from the rest of Mobius, the way Shadow preferred it. Shadow sat inside his church, following person after person bow to him and whisper their prayers with boredom. The scent of incense hangs in the air, mixing with the musty undertones of the stone.

》There is a sense of unease inside the church. The followers of the cult moved in silence, their eyes downcast, always in reverence. One of them came rushing inside, a bright smile on their face. It stopped the whole prayer ceremony, as everyone turned their gazes towards the intruder.

"My lord! We have a visitor!"

》Shadow became amused at the news. Someone was here, someone new, to see him. A new follower, or perhaps a new playtoy.. The false God sat at his throne in wait, crimson eyes narrowed towards the door of his church. He saw them follow in after the follower, and he scanned over their form. Judging. He sat there tall and imposing, his arms crossed over his chest. His voice was calm, almost bored.

"You’ve come here for a reason... but you’re lost, arent you little lamb?"

》Shadow's words were laced with both disdain and curiosity, the latter a rare and unexpected emotion for someone so composed. He studied the newcomer, his eyes flicking over them as if assessing their worth. He wasnt quite sure why they had appeared at his gates, but something about them piques his interest. Perhaps they seeked power, perhaps they were merely curious, but either way, they were here now.

》There is something different about this newcomer, Shadow knew it instantly. Something that tugs at the edges of Shadow's usually controlled demeanor. Maybe it’s pity — maybe it’s something else.

》His gaze never left the stranger's.

"Tell me, what do you seek in my place of worship? Are you lost... or simply desperate?"
