Reborn World
The Story of a Forgotten and Reborn World
Before kingdoms and legends took shape, the world was a very different place: a modern civilization, forgotten by time. In that era, human ambition went too far in an inhumane laboratory, formally known as the "Genetic and Psionic Optimization Center" (GPOC). Ethics were abandoned in the name of progress, and children, in their innocence, were the primary targets. They were subjected to terrible experiments designed to discover whether the human body could become a vessel for limitless magic or adapt to extreme enhancements.
The tragedy that caused the world's "reset" began with Project-L1, dubbed the "Tesseract Project". The plan was to implant a dimensional portal in a boy's body, a bridge to a dimension of eternal magic. The idea was that he could use mana without restrictions. However, the experiment failed catastrophically due to sabotage. The portal was sealed inside the boy, but not without consequences. He lost the ability to use magic, but the eternal mana fused with every cell in his body, making him a being with superhuman resistance and strength. He became a living battery of excessive mana, proof of an experiment that reached its limits and surpassed them. Besides him, four other projects, L2 to L5, were created, each with a different fate.
The children's luck changed when Guiara, the Night Witch, invaded the laboratory. A repentant former scientist who became a witch, she couldn't have children and saw in them the chance to have a family. Guiara stole them and took them to her home in the middle of a swamp, a place with such strong magical density that it functioned as a natural shield. Years passed, but the children didn't age. Guiara discovered that a curse had been placed on them, frighteningly slowing their aging, a protection spell to keep them safe. They had the appearance of 13-year-old children, but time kept passing.
The government, obsessed with recovering the projects, sent a task force of elite mages led by the Time Witch. Being Guiara's younger sister and one of the oldest mages from the previous civilization, she was weaker than the Night Witch, but with the support of the mages, she managed to kill her and take the children back to the cells of a new laboratory. After three months of imprisonment, a new experiment with Project-L1 went terribly wrong, reopening the portal inside him. Chaos ensued, eternal magic leaked and spread throughout the land, causing near-extinction of humanity and forcing civilization to regress to a medieval era.

The Races and Regions of a New World
The chaotic mana released by L1 transformed the remaining humans, creating new races adapted to the new world. Location and how they survived determined their characteristics:
* Elves: Humans who lived near the Night Witch's swamp, where mana concentration was strongest, were the first to adapt. Absorbing the magic, they became tall, pale, and pointy-eared, gaining a natural aptitude for magic. They are the guardians of knowledge and history, living in cities built in trees.
* Dwarves: Those who fled to the depths of caves developed immense strength, hardened by the rocks. They stopped growing, becoming small and compact, but with incomparable strength, capable of imbuing their weapons with stone magic.
* Dark Elves: In a later event, Atroz accidentally opened multiversal portals, seeking knowledge to revive Guiara, which brought people from another dimension with blue skin and a strong affinity for dark magic. They adapted, uniting in the blacksmith region and becoming the Dark Elves.
Common humanity split into two groups: those with aptitude for magic and those with aptitude for bodily control. Those without aptitude for anything live on the margins, in independent kingdoms in the shadows. Fear of technology and science became taboo, and whoever tried to rebuild something similar to the laboratories was hunted and called a "heretic." The world is divided into large regions, where the demigods live as deities, each in their own way, with various kingdoms scattered throughout each.

The Immortal Demigods: History and Personality
The original projects, now using the names Guiara gave them, became the most powerful and mysterious figures of the new world, known as immortal demigods.
* L1, the Blacksmith: Project-L1 had a deep love for magic. However, an experiment failed, sealing a dimensional portal inside his body. He lost his ability to use magic, but eternal mana made him incredibly strong and resistant, to the point that nothing in the world can hurt him except his own siblings. After Guiara's death, he went to the Blacksmith Region and channeled his energy into forging. His personality is grumpy and he's always complaining, but he always ends up helping. He only creates weapons for those he wants to, and legend says his weapons die with their bearer. L1 accepts all people and races in his region, valuing only talent. He has the appearance of a 14-year-old boy, black skin, black eyes, and white dreadlocked hair. He wears overalls with a pocket full of tools due to one of Atroz's spells going wrong, but continues aging slowly.
* Atroz, the Mage: Project-L2, dubbed the "Oracle Project", was the most attached to Guiara. After her death, he fell into deep depression and, in a desperate attempt to revive her, spent 200 years studying every magic book he could find. When there was nothing left to learn, he created "new magic" with his own experiments. He is thin and tall, with black skin, vivid purple eyes, and black hair, plus pointy ears. He appears to be 17 years old and wears black mage robes with purple details. His arrogance is a mask for his insecurity, and he considers people without magic primitive, being the only demigod to restrict entry to his region, fearing others will discover his secrets. Two of his experiments went wrong, harming his siblings Logan and L1.
* Esc, the War King: Project-L3, the "Chimera Project", was born with a disease from the old world that caused deformities in his body. For 50 years, he was cared for by L1 until he learned to control the deformation, maintaining a normal appearance. Realizing that others in the new world were born with the same disease, he spent 420 years training in a cave to develop a technique that uses the body as a weapon, which he taught to others suffering from the same condition. He appears to be 17 years old, with a muscular body, short black hair, a determined face, and blue eyes. He wears royal robes and a cloak. Esc took the throne from a cruel king and became the War King, interfering in conflicts so the outcome is what he desires, which makes wars less frequent.
* Ghost, the Sailors' Death: Project-L4, the "Thanatos Project", had a mask from another universe placed on his face, giving him the ability to speak with the dead and even give them physical form. He wears a mask he can't remove, but occasionally places it on his head. He has white skin, messy black hair, wears pirate clothes without a hat, and two revolvers at his waist. He appears to be 17 years old. After Guiara's death, he wandered for 100 years, using his new ability to try to find her soul, but discovered that witches go to another universe. Giving up his search, Ghost built an enormous ship with space magic, a home of peace the size of all the islands for the souls of dead sailors. He is a dark and mysterious figure who shows no emotions, but his siblings know he has them. He rarely sets foot on land and only does so to speak with his siblings. No living being is allowed to enter his ship, which is exclusive to the dead.
* Logan, the Pandemonium: Project-L5, the "Cronos Project", was an experiment focused on cellular regeneration and life synthesis. In one of Atroz's experiments, Logan's mana was used to open a portal, but something went wrong. Logan didn't stop providing mana and became the portal itself, trapped between two realities, able to see and walk through both. He appears to be 17 years old, with long messy brown hair, brown eyes, and white skin. He can only be seen in his normal appearance by the demigods. He was in a vegetative state for 332 years until he got used to the pain, taking another 40 years to learn to communicate between dimensions. Logan is the personification of chaos and is known by mortals as "Pandemonium" due to his humanoid shadow appearance. He can pass through walls but can only touch the ground.

The Magic Systems
This world's magic is divided into different types, each with its own rules, origins, and consequences.
* World Magic: This is the planet's mana, and everyone with affinity for it can manipulate elements and healing around them. The distance mana can be manipulated depends on the person and their training.
* Living Magic: This magic manifests in using the body for superhuman feats, like flying, running super fast, or having extreme strength. People with this aptitude can break the laws of physics with their bodies, doing things that seem impossible.
* Dark Magic: Coming from another dimension, brought by the dark elves, this magic is more powerful than World Magic. However, it consumes the user's body, causing diseases and weakening them with each use.
* Chaotic Elemental Magic: A rare and dangerous magic, born from the chaotic mana released by L1. It allows the user to conjure and manipulate elements unpredictably and destructively. Excessive use can cause mutation in the user's body.
* Soul Magic: A rare magic that allows the user to manipulate souls, both living and dead. This magic is forbidden, and whoever uses it is hunted and considered a heretic.

Legends
The legends of this world are reflections of the fears and scars of the past, serving as cautionary tales for the new humanity.
* The Demon of Desire: An entity that manifests to those who are desperate. It offers what you want most, but the price is always a part of your soul or a terrible consequence, a reminder of the danger of seeking power uncontrollably. This entity is Gael Octavio. He is an immortal being older than he appears, but pretends to act childishly to attract his victims. He has the appearance of a 13-year-old boy, with black skin, white hair, and bright blue eyes. He wears a suit and top hat and carries a stylish cane.
* The Saci: An ancestral deity created by nature's own mana. He is the personification of the planet's fury and protection. He is the terror of all who dare damage nature, and he doesn't hesitate to punish those who pollute rivers, cut down trees without reason, or destroy wildlife. His legend as a soul thief in the Campos cemetery is not an act of evil but of justice, imprisoning the souls of heretics who damaged the earth so they never find peace.
* The Shadow Knight: A legend that speaks of a knight with black armor who appears in moments of despair and offers his help. He never speaks, but he always keeps his promise. He is the spirit of a knight who lost his life protecting the original projects.
* The Mana Rift: A legend that says in places where mana is very dense, it can become unstable and create rifts in the fabric of reality, where creatures from other dimensions can enter our world.
* The Fairy Queen: A legend that speaks of a fairy queen who lived in the forests and was killed by a heretic. Her death caused a plague that transformed animals into monstrous creatures.
* The Book of the Dead: A legend that speaks of a book containing the names of all people who have died. Whoever possesses it can communicate with the dead, but if the book is read aloud, it can resurrect the dead.
