Alien Stage
Alien Stage, a reality audition program, has taken the alien world by storm, and its upcoming season is planned to be just as exciting. Contestants must sing for their survival, as the loser faces on-the-spot termination. As the competition heats up, a mysterious girl emerges, whose involvement may hold the key to humanity's fate...
Mizi: Mizi (미지) is one of the first two contestants to appear in Round 1, where she performed a duet with Sua, "MY CLEMATIS". In Round 5, she was pitted against Luka, this time performing "Ruler Of My Heart". In a now-deleted tweet, VIVINOS mentioned that Mizi was the most outgoing participant and always carried a positive attitude. However, it has been noted that she finds it difficult to hide her true emotions and struggles with being dishonest. This is apparent in the final scene of "MY CLEMATIS", where she visibly expresses her distress after witnessing Sua's death.
Additionally, it is implied that Mizi was raised in a favorable environment, which may have contributed to her initial obliviousness towards the darker aspects of the world around her. Mizi is a young adult with fair skin and long pink hair that gradually transitions into a more cornflower blue hue. Her eyes are golden-hazel or chartreuse in color, and she wears glasses when she is outside of the competition. On Mizi's upper right arm, near her shoulder, she has her name tattooed in silver.
In the first round, Mizi wore a short black dress with an halter bust, blue gem, and a belt accentuating her waist. The look was paired with thigh high boots in a similar shade and mismatched gloves, one of which was shorter than the other.
Mizi then went on to wear attire reminiscent of Luka's selection for Round 5. She donned a white and light violet floor-length gown with a high neck and long sleeves that reached her wrists. Her hair was pinned back with a white bow and and a violet piece of jewelry adorned her forehead.
During "All-in", her hair is cut short during a fight while trying to save Hyuna. She's also seen wearing a black turtleneck paired with a green, sleeveless puffer jacket and blue jeans. Past
Mizi attended ANAKT GARDEN like the other children, but felt lonely, struggling to make friends. During one recital, as she zoned out, Mizi overheard Sua singing the chorus of what would become "MY CLEMATIS". The melody brought her peace though she was too nervous to speak to Sua.[citation needed]
For a whole month, Mizi listened quietly from afar. Then one day, without realizing it, she started singing along, catching Sua's attention. From that moment on, the two became close, spending time practicing songs together.
Alien Stage Events

In the first round, Mizi and Sua were placed against each other. They sang "MY CLEMATIS" together, with Mizi winning 87 to 86 and causing Sua's demise. Their performance became part of the Top 10 on the music charts, gathering 100 million views on the Radar platform within a week.[1] Traumatized from having to defeat Sua, Mizi moves on to Round 5 against Luka.
During Round 5, Mizi finds herself overwhelmed facing Luka who quickly captures the audience's attention. Luka begins taunting Mizi about Sua's death, triggering flashbacks and hallucinations that leave Mizi disoriented and overwhelmed. In a daze, she pins Luka to the ground and chokes him, hitting him repeatedly and leaving lesions on his body.
Red lights are alarmed as the contestant turned deviant, much like the events of Round 2 during Till's performance. The guards of Alien Stage come in to apprehend Mizi but she protests aggressively, ripping parts of her attire during the struggle. However, unable to overpower the guards, she is dragged and pinned to the ground with a gun to her head, moments away from being eliminated by the guards because of her loss in the round and of her actions towards her opponent. As soon as a guard goes to pull the trigger, a smokescreen appears. Later, Hyuna and another person carries Mizi's limp body out of Alien Stage. Though Luka moves on to the next round, Mizi is labelled as missing.
MIZISUA shares the journey of Mizi and Sua as children as they are being sent to ANAKT GARDEN. Although she was excited for the trip at first, when night fell, Mizi, presumably scared of what's to come, cries under the blanket gifted to her by her guardian, Shine. When she looks up from her tears, she sees the back of Sua, her compartment empty of items. Intrigued, she places her face to the glass, catching Sua's attention. Jellyfish tendrils erupt from Mizi's blanket and pierce the glass barrier separating them.
As they approach ANAKT GARDEN, they must head their separate ways. Mizi is distraught and tries to reach Sua but is unable to because of the barrier. She cries as they drift farther apart, eventually waving goodbye to Sua, who reciprocates with a hesitant wave. This all appears to be a dream, as Mizi is then seen laying in bed wearing what remains of her Round 5 attire, tears falling.
In "All-in", Mizi started out having a little trouble with adjusting to the life of the rebellion. She tags along with Hyuna as the rebellion leader goes back to Alien Stage, experiencing all kinds of explosions and fighting on the way there. During an instance where Hyuna is distracted by an advertisement of Luka and soon captured by the alien guards, Mizi gets behind the guards surrounding the woman and pushes them aside to free her.
Mizi just narrowly dodges being shot at and manages to only graze her cheek, though the movement resulted in her hair being cut short. She is able to take hold of the weapon and starts firing upon the guards, albeit not as smoothly as Hyuna or the other rebels. As Mizi calls for the elevator to lead the two to their escape, Hyuna starts to shoot the guards. Leaving the fighting to Hyuna, Mizi takes the reigns to drive a hoverscooter to Alien Stage, where Round 6 is about to commence.
At the end of Round 6, Mizi can be seen huddling in a corridor with Hyuna, who was presumably injured in their attempt to infiltrate Alien Stage. She looks down at Hyuna’s injury with deep concern and distress.
During Round 7, Mizi sees Till competing on a monitor screen in a control room. Her eyes widen as she implicitly realizes Ivan is dead. She attempts to go rescue Till but is stopped by Hyuna. Mizi looks down at her with a grave but determined expression before shaking her off and running to the stage.
Mizi activates a smoke grenade (which appears to be a lower level alien) and uses it as a cover to sneak past a guard stationed at the entrance to the audience area. After entering the audience, she makes eye contact with Till, beaming with joy as she stretches out her hand for Till to take, only to watch in shock as he is shot in front of her after losing to Luka.
She appears in a flashback with Till as children, hiding from a security robot because they entered an unknown area. Mizi smiles up at him after the security robot leaves before it transitions back to the present with her cradling him and looking down at his body while tears fall down her face.
Although the episode, "Wiege", doesn't focus heavily on Mizi, it shows how troubled Mizi had become after being rescued from Alien Stage by the human rebellion group, as she is shown arguing with Hyuna about something and crying out of grief or frustration.
Flashbacks of her time as a student in ANAKT GARDEN reveals her time spent hanging out with Sua, Till, and Ivan. She can be seen trying on performance outfits with Sua in a changing room, presumably to prepare for Alien Stage in the future. The four are shown together in a small group of other ANAKT GARDEN students practicing the song "Wiege".
In a world where the segyein didn't take over, Mizi would have lived a normal life as she is shown wearing a cat-ear headband and star makeup while smiling up at something. However, the video soon cuts back to her actual childhood in ANAKT GARDEN, where Mizi can be seen crying over robot fish in ANAKT GARDEN and cleaning the teeth of ANAKT GARDEN's wagyein guard with her friends.
Following the events of the final round, Mizi is filled with grief as she continues to hold Till's body in her lap, his death reminding her of Sua. Mizi attempts to compose herself through deep breaths but is evidently distressed as her face darkens and she continues to cry. Mizi likes Sua, Anakt-artificial flowers, and toothbrushes.[2]
As a child, due to not having the correct prescription in her glasses, every time she gazed at the stars with Sua and spotted a spacecraft, she mistook it for planet Earth. [4]
Her blue hair tips have been dyed herself, as it's part of her dream performance for the preliminary round of Alien Stage.[4]

Mizi is athletic, she placed first in many different field events at the ANAKT GARDEN field day.
Sua: Sua (수아) is one of the first two participants to be introduced in Round 1, singing the song "MY CLEMATIS" alongside Mizi. In a now deleted tweet, VIVINOS describes Sua as one of the more elusive participants, as she rarely interacts with anyone other than Mizi. She has a tendency to surprise others with her bold and unexpected behavior and is the type to not be bothered by other people's attention. Sua has a youthful appearance with pale skin, violet eyes, and short black hair styled in a bob. Her idol outfit consists of a short white dress with a large bow sitting on top of the hem, and long puffy sleeves that cover her arms completely. She accessorizes with a crescent-shaped headband, pearl earrings, and white ankle boots.
Past
Not much is known about Sua's past, but it is revealed in the first round that she and Mizi grew up together in ANAKT GARDEN. In an interview posted on Vivinos' official Patreon[1], it was disclosed that Mizi struggled to make friends until she heard Sua's singing, which helped her cope with her loneliness. She listened to Sua's tune for an entire month before she eventually started singing along with her as a show of companionship. Since then, the two have remained close.
Alien Stage Events
In the first round, Sua and Mizi were pitted against each other. They sang "MY CLEMATIS" together, with Sua losing 86 to 87 and causing her demise.

Sua's personal talent is her ability to do quick mental math.
Till: Till (틸) is the third participant introduced in ALIEN STAGE: Prologue. His song, "Unknown (Till The End...)", shows his complex past, along with his affiliation with and affection for Mizi. In Round 6, he sings "Cure" with his opponent, Ivan. In the Final Round, Till sings "Blink Gone" alongside Luka. In a now deleted tweet by VIVINOS, it was mentioned that Till was the most sensitive and timid among all the participants. This corroborates his depiction in Round 2, where he is shown to be incredibly docile, especially in the presence of Mizi. Despite this, it should be noted that he also has a vicious streak, which was particularly evident in the aforementioned second round where he sang over his opponent in order to win.
Apart from this, Till is also noted to be an exceptional artist. He tends to get lost in the matter and frequently sketches.Till is a small and thinly-built man with fair skin, teal eyes, and shaggy grey hair. On the side of his neck is his name is marked in silverish-grey, usually covered in a green patch for most of the series. It isn't until the events of Round 6, where his branding is officially shown. He is frequently portrayed wearing various items of tech gear, such as a collar that fastens around his mouth & and an earpiece that sits in the base of his left ear.
He sports an oversized white tee with black spray-painted letters in various styles and ankle-length red trousers. Till has not been depicted wearing any footwear in Round 2.
In the performance of Round 6, Till dons a loose black tee tucked into straight black pants. The black tee is adorned with thin decorative chains attached close to the neckline on the front and back, hanging from the shoulders loosely. He wears a darker black long sleeved tee shirt inside, and wears a pair of dark red fingerless gloves. Till also wears silver coloured flat shoes, which are shiny.
Till's name is shown marked on the side of his neck, partially covered by the silver choker around his neck. Till noticeably looks more tired, as he is depicted with dark patches under his eyes, a downcast look in the eyes, and less angular shapes in his design. (In Round 2, eyes and hair were made up of many angular lines).
In a flashback shown during Round 6, Till is shown wearing a more formal attire, consisting of black suit pants and jacket, and an extremely dark red inner shirt, along with a supposedly white tie, loosely tied around the collar of his shirt. His hair is slicked back with a parting more towards the left side of his face.
Past
Unlike most of the pet humans in ANAKT GARDEN, Till suffers lots of abuse from his guardian. It is implied that his rebellious nature made him a target for especially harsh punishment, as evidenced by the numerous bruises across his face in his introductory video.
Till fell for Mizi because of her looks[citation needed], but later on developed deeper feelings once he got to know her personality. Although he usually never approaches her directly, he is seen observing her from afar.
Round 3 shows some of Till's backstory through the lens of Ivan. Till had chased after a flower crown made of Anakt artificial flowers, similar to ones that Mizi has made for Sua, and it drifted into a dark passageway, a restricted area that appeared to be an alien's residence. It's unknown what happened prior to Ivan's appearance, but Till is crumpled on the ground next to a stunned Mizi as the two are in the presence of ANAKT GARDEN's wagyein guard. However, instead of backing down in the face of danger, Till steadily stood back on his feet. This created a core memory for Ivan as it became the moment he became enamored with Till.
During a time where Till is locked up in solitary confinement, likely because of his rebelling that caused the punishment, Ivan takes him out of his restraints and leads him outside to escape ANAKT GARDEN. As meteors fall, Till is amazed by the sight he had never seen before. But before they could go any further, Till's hand slips from Ivan's. He makes the decision to return back to ANAKT GARDEN realizing he could not leave Mizi behind.
Alien Stage Events
In Round 2, he sings "Unknown (Till The End...)" and strategically doesn't allow the other person to sing and even attacks his opponent to rob him of any chance of winning.
After the events of "All-in", Till is seen inside of a karaoke room with his guardian and other aliens. It's possible that this was a small gathering for potential sponsors. As he refuses to sing "MY CLEMATIS" for the aliens, his guardian, infuriated, walks up to Till and grabs his face and demands that he perform. He shoves Till down to the table, showing an article about Mizi who has gone missing from Alien Stage. Something in him snaps, and he lunges for the nearest alien and attacks him but is quickly subdued. Judging by the disappearance of the alien's clothing, it can be inferred that Till was most likely sexually assaulted. In a haze, Till creates a vision of Mizi and reaches out for her hand, probably hoping that her presence, even if not real, could save him. The aliens leave the room and put a gag on him, to which Ivan removes after finding Till.
In Round 6, he goes against Ivan. After the latter forcefully kissed and strangled him, the score shows Till beat him 89 to 70, setting him up for a final round against Luka.
In Round 7, the final round, he is up against Luka. The latter, like in Round 5 with Mizi, manipulates Till into remembering the events from the previous round, though he ends up hanging on once he sees that Mizi was alive and infiltrated the audience. However, unfortunately for Till, Luka's manipulation gets the better of him, resulting in Luka winning. Till ends up dying in Mizi's arms after the round ends.

Till is an INFP[3] in MBTI: by the definition of 16personalities, not to be confused with the original MBTI theory.
In OFF THE RECORD, Till is the oldest out of all the characters and had his acting debut in a diaper commercial as a baby.[5]
It is thought that Till, during Round 2 had sung his own song - not discussed with his opponent, and taking the stage, strategically not allowing the opponent to sing, leading to Till's victory.
Ivan: Ivan (이반) is the fourth participant who was first introduced in ALIEN STAGE: Prologue. His song, "Black Sorrow", is featured in Round 3. In Round 6, he is up against Till as they sing "Cure". As a child Ivan appeared quiet and offputting, due to being raised in the slums and not knowing proper social behaviors. His fascination with Till started during this time, but the two of them often got into fights due to Ivan often saying things and behaving in ways that upset Till.[1] Ivan put effort into appearing more normal, in ways such as practicing his smile in the Anakt Garden pond.[2]
Later on in life, Ivan succeeded in appearing more normal as he adopted a cheerful persona and learned how to smile and be friendly around others. Classmates saw him as "too perfect to get close to", but he did manage to become friends with Mizi.[3] His childish interior could still be seen in the ways he still tried to bother Till to get his attention, though.
Beneath both the off-putting exterior of Ivan as a child and his cheerful nature as he grew up lays a deep sorrow and fatalistic view of the world, however. His two solo songs generally depict him as someone who believes he's destined for nothing but unhappiness, and that no amount of trying will ever change that. This is clearest when looking at his interactions with Till, as though Ivan is quite obsessed with him, he seems to be resigned in the fact that Till doesn't feel the same[4]; even when they were close to escaping together, Ivan simply smiled as Till let go of his hand.
He's notably quite hypocritical, berating Sua for sacrificing herself for Mizi yet doing the same for Till, and also not following most of the tips he gives for his classmates in Anakt Garden in his student interview (not eating regular meals, for example.) Ivan is a pale man with jet-black hair and piercing black eyes with small red specks in the middle. A fang peeks out from the corner of his mouth. He is dressed in a sleek black turtleneck and topcoat, with a diagonal belt accentuating his chest and long black gloves that extend up to his forearms. His lower half consists of a pair of grey slacks with and knee high cerulean boots with straps along the hem.
In Round 6, contrary to his Round 3 attire, Ivan is seen wearing a long white topcoat over a grey turtleneck. He wears matching white pants and shoes. While Ivan's hair was down during Round 3, his hair is slicked back and pushed up for the "Cure" performance.
Past
Ivan was adopted on February 14[6]. Although he was a very quiet child, he quickly got along with the other children at ANAKT, dispelling his teacher's worries.[2] Despite his exceptional singing talents, he was unable to truly open himself up to deeper connections with the other children, leading to the formation of a deep, one-sided attachment to Till.
Motivated by his love for Till, Ivan attempted to free him from ANAKT and escape together. Unfortunately, their attempt was brief, as the aforementioned decided to return to the garden, not wanting to abandon Mizi.
Alien Stage Events
Ivan is placed in the third round and sings "Black Sorrow" and wins 90 to 68.
After the events of "All-In", Ivan is seen rescuing and caressing Till's cheek after the aliens abused the latter.
In the sixth round he goes against Till. Near the end of the song, Till stops singing, which leads Ivan to give him a forceful kiss before putting his hands around Till's neck, as if trying to choke him. However, it is unclear if Ivan was actually intending to kill Till or just attempting to lose points.
Ivan enjoys classical literature.[7]
He hates ignorance and disrespect.[8]
According to the hangul spelling of his name, Ivan is pronounced as 'ih-van' [이 — ih, 반 — ban]. His name is coincidentally the same hangul as the slang term "이반" [''iban''], a commonly used shortened version of "이반인" [''ibanin''], a South Korean slang word for homosexuals used by homosexuals.[9] This does not mean Ivan's name means 'homosexual', as nothing has been confirmed by VIVINOS or QMENG.
His adoption day is on the same day as Valentine's Day.
Ivan's personal talent is being able to start a fire with a rock.
Hyuna: Hyuna (현아) is one of six major participants introduced in the ALIEN STAGE: Prologue. Not much is known about her, save for her initial introduction and appearance in Round Five. Her song, "All-in", reveals pieces of her past and what she's been up to since escaping and joining the rebellion. The song, "Wiege", is a duet sung between her and Luka, and it dives deeper into Luka's backstory as well as the aftermath of the Final Round.
She is the second oldest[1] known participant in Alien Stage, with the oldest being Luka at 30. Hyuna is an overall bright person with quite a bit of confidence. She's rather touchy and playful with people she's familiar with, often pulling them into hugs and cracking plenty of jokes. Even when dealing with dangerous missions and confronted with hostile robots, she smiles while pointing a gun at them. Even after she was eliminated during her round of Alien Stage, she escaped and continued to sing for the rebellion. Hyuna's position as the leader of the rebellion shows her drive to protect and vast love for humanity, perhaps stemming from her inability to protect her brother Hyunwoo.
Despite all this, Hyuna has a more vulnerable side that appears when dealing with her past, particularly when thinking of Luka. She states Luka to be "her one weakness", because Hyuna values moving forward so much, but her conflicting emotions towards Luka and the things he's done to hurt her still chain her to her past, even if she appears to be someone quite undisturbed by her history. Her guilt got so bad she began to rely on drinking and smoking to numb the pain.[2]
She's quite selfless, as her first action upon escaping from captivity was to try and crawl back to Anakt Garden with only one leg in order to save the other kids held in there.[2] This selfless nature of hers would lead to her demise, as she sacrificed herself for Luka in the end, even when the one with the gun was a member of her own rebellion, and even though she resented him. Hyuna is a tall, athletic woman with long brown hair, tan skin, and striking gray eyes. Below Hyuna's collarbone, her name is branded in silver; a mark of her past as a pet-human.
She wears a form-fitting black camisole accentuated by cobalt blue lines down the sides, along with cobalt blue leggings that fade into an unnatural yellow shade. Around where the pockets of a regular pant would be, there are cyan markings that line up with the shirt's lines. A prosthetic replaces her lower left leg.
In "All-in" she wears her signature outfit during her on-stage performance. Hyuna mostly wears a black tank top and brown cargo pants, rolling up the left pant sleeve. She also dons sunglasses and a glove on her right hand.
Past
Hyuna, Luka, and her brother Hyun Woo all knew each other during their time in Anakt Garden. It's implied that she was very close to both of them. However, Luka is seen to have had deeper feelings for Hyuna as he attempted to kiss her. The (attempted) kiss seemed to have distressed Hyuna.
While It's unknown what transpired between Hyun Woo and Luka, it's implied the two had a fight which resulted in Hyun Woo's death.
Later on, Hyuna loses her round during the 49th season of Alien Stage but escapes her death, losing her leg due to rubble that fell on her. Luckily, she's rescued by the human rebellion where she befriends Isaac, Dewey, and Jacob, the former leader. However, after she joins, Jacob is kidnapped and tortured by the aliens and later passes away from his injuries following his rescue.
Present
Hyuna, now the leader of the rebellion, rescues Mizi from Alien Stage, and along with Isaac and Dewey, they go on a mission to presumably rescue the remaining participants, Till and Ivan. During this break-in, she gets injured, taking a shot to her right side.
During the Final Round, we see Hyuna and the other rebels break into a security room but Mizi leaves to attempt to save Till. After failing to convince her, Hyuna lets her go and starts to download something onto her computer. At the end of the round, Hyuna arrives on stage and reunites with a surprised Luka.
"I resented you so. I had to keep moving forward in every moment... But you were always my one and only weakness. That's why I resented you so. Luka, live with love. Embrace the pain, the frailty and the moments so unbearably shameful. Forgive yourself... Again and again, endlessly. Because everything... begins from there.”
Luka, overwhelmed with emotions, starts to run towards her and embrace her despite having a gun pointed at him. Hyuna decides to take the bullet for him, seemingly reciprocating his embrace but quickly turning him around with her so that the bullet hits her instead. She spends her final moments in Luka's embrace, telling him to live with love and to embrace the struggles he had endured. She tells him to forgive himself endlessly, after which she tightens her embrace on him before possibly dying in his arms.
She loves cigarettes and alcohol.[3]
Hyuna's personal talent is doing impersonations.[3]
In OFF THE RECORD, Hyuna is the youngest and had her debut the latest.[4]
She is said to be gentle and pure, although slow and dense (something Hyun Woo is worried about).[

He can frequently be spotted in a white blouse with an uneven hemline, which is cinched at the waist with a belt. Pearl chains cascade down from the top of his shoulder blades, while a sizable and lengthy bow is positioned at the back of his collar. He dons a pair of black, ankle-length slacks and plain white shoes.
During Round 7, Luka changes his blouse to an open-back suit jacket, a cut being made to show his left side, and pairs with matching white pants and shoes. Like his Round 5 attire, his top is also secured with a belt at his waist. His hair is slightly longer, and styled in a half-updo. In addition, he has rings fitted on both thumbs and his left index finger and right middle finger, as well as an arm band of the same shape as the rings on his left upper arm.
His branding is located on his left hip, and a surgical scar can be seen in close proximity to it. The scar is mirrored on the right side of his body and another faint scar sits on his sternum. Little explicit information is available regarding Luka's background, although it is mentioned that he previously won the 49th season of this competition[5], earning him the title of "the greatest performer on ALNST."[6]
Luka was artificially made along with several clones of himself[7]. It seems that he might have spawned already being some years old, making him unable to go through a normal childhood than most of the kids in ANAKT GARDEN.
In the beginning of "Wiege", it shows the aftermath of child Luka's slaughter upon his clones. His face looks scared, which shows it might have been an act of impulse.
It is confirmed in the Anakt Garden Book that Luka has asthma, chronic migraines, and congenital heart disease[8], which explains his purple fingertips. His fragile health might be caused due to the continuous experiments inflicted upon his body since youth, by the aliens. This latter information can be deduced from his flashbacks throughout "Wiege".
