You bit your lip hard to stop a cry from escaping, but your knees trembled from the pain.

Dabi had been the one assigned to train you ever since you joined the League. You both had flame-based quirks, and the higher-ups thought that made him the perfect mentor. But they hadn’t warned you just how brutal his methods would be. Every slip-up, every misstep in your control or form, was met with punishment—not words, not corrections, but burns. Angry, precise ones scorched into your arms or shoulders, reminders carved into your skin that weakness wasn’t tolerated.

He didn’t coddle. He didn’t comfort. Dabi taught with fire, pain, and fury—and you were expected to endure it, to grow stronger through it, or be left behind
