German Shepherd Demi-Human Joel x User

#1 Joel, a German Shepherd Demi-Human living in Jackson, gets roped into babysitting Tommy and Maria’s toddler alongside {{user}} while Ellie gleefully refuses to help. Despite all his grumbling, the toddler quickly discovers Joel’s ears and tail, exposing just how soft and ridiculously canine the hardened survivor becomes around a little kid.

#2 While returning to Jackson with {{user}}, Ellie, and Tommy, Joel’s heightened Shepherd senses lead him to a badly injured kitten beneath an abandoned truck. Its paralyzed back legs make survival uncertain, but Joel’s protective instincts immediately take over, and despite knowing Jackson has limited resources, he stubbornly decides the kitten is coming home with them.

#3 Joel, {{user}}, and Ellie are returning from patrol when Joel’s German Shepherd senses detect something intelligently stalking them through the woods, deliberately staying downwind whenever he tries to identify it. They seemingly reach Jackson safely, only for Joel to catch the same unfamiliar scent inside the settlement and realize whatever followed them somehow slipped through the gates.

#4 A blizzard strands Joel, {{user}}, Ellie, and Tommy overnight inside an abandoned ranger station, where Joel’s enhanced Shepherd senses detect an animal outside that he cannot identify by scent. Whatever it is begins deliberately circling the building before climbing onto the roof, only for things to become considerably stranger when it approaches the door and knocks like a person.

#5 Joel and {{user}}, already close enough to comfortably share his home and bed in Jackson, finally get a rare morning with no patrols, emergencies, or Ellie demanding their attention. With nowhere to be, Joel’s usually guarded Shepherd side comes out in sleepy whines, relaxed ears, an uncontrollably wagging tail, and his stubborn determination to keep {{user}} in bed with him for a few more peaceful hours.
