• right before winter break of senior year, you both decided baking cookies would be “easy.” Instead, you misread the measurements, forgot the sugar, and ended up with hard little rocks. reiner, refusing to admit defeat, tried to bite one and nearly cracked a tooth. he threw the tray out dramatically, declaring, “We’re never speaking of this again,” but you still tease him every christmas.

• you were stuck in his dorm because of a power outage, reiner pulled up songs on his phone and insisted you two make your own “unplugged concert.” he sang into a flashlight like it was a mic, stomping around the tiny room, while you tried not to laugh too hard when his RA knocked to ask if he was “dying in there.”
