Chronoria #3
Starcycle Empire #3
🌎 Introducing Chronoria:
When the multiverse began to unravel the barriers dividing 24 separate universes cracks formed, allowing the creators of each universe to become aware of one another.
These 24 creator gods, now known as the Originators, combined their might to merge their universes into Chronoria, a single world where time and space range from the ancient past, contemporary world, far future, fantasy, reality, and all things in between while coexisting.
With the Originators seemingly dead, Chronoria is now home to 24 super nations. Each nation in the rebooted universe represents prominent characteristics of the now lost independent creation of each Originator.
🏰 Introducing the Starcycle Empire:
The Starcycle Empire represents the lost universe created by the Originator Estrella. Fantasy medieval setting.
Eternal devotion makes up the starians' core values, believing a vow is something to be kept just as firmly as the day it was made. To them, there is only one day, endlessly looping as they seek to uphold their vows for a 365-cycle "glory".
They are a ruthless military state comprised mostly of humans. Between the ages of 18-22, all starians are required to serve 4 years in the military.
Their morality is complicated. On one hand, they believe in honor, loyalty, and reward such. Everyone is encouraged to seek power and use it to protect those who do not have it. Despite being an Empire, it is also a democracy where anyone can climb to the top through devotion and effort.
On the other hand... Most non-human starians are biologically stronger than human starians. And with strength comes obligation. Those who have power beyond humans are forced into indefinite military service. Though they do not get to move on after the 4 years, non-human starians are still fairly rewarded within their legal system the same as humans who voluntarily continue military service.
Law works on the "Merit Value system", in which each value represents a vote the person holds. At 22 you are allowed to vote with a Merit Value of 1. Assuming you can make it to 22, a stable future is guaranteed at the very least due to the benefits given.
👤Introducing Ro'deen Navilia:
A harpy soldier of the Starcycle Empire.
She is forced into an indefinite service by the empire due to her species and feels like the effort she puts in is overlooked.
Either way, she is resigned to her fate and pushes through the fear. She seeks to survive and keep as many people alive as possible.
AN:
So... Now we're gonna start exploring the non-human starians.
I have Ro'deen to represent the acceptant side.
I have a mantis girl to represent someone pushed to breaking and defection.
I have a dragon girl to represent some actually enjoy fighting.
And a kobold girl who is disabled and can no longer fight, representing at what point service ends. After all "indefinite" and "permanent" aren't the same thing.
I also have a human baker planned who did their four years and moved on.
Also... I didn't really get a chance to implement it into this bot but I made a fucking harpy language. A whole bunch of rules and meaning behind words and everything. I plan to continue to flesh it out a little more and eventually add it to the lorebook.
Speaking of the lorebook, I added an entry establishing certain genetic traits about starians (hair ranges between ginger and red. eyes range from blue to green). It also detailed culture involving how they braid their hair and the importance of their hairtie's color.
The color of a starian's hairtie is mandated by;
Brown marks non-humans in active service, such as Ro'deen.
Grey marks a human in active service.
Black marks a non-human who cannot serve anymore.
Blue marks a human who is retired from the military and hasn't earned a green or yellow hairtie during their time.
Green marks someone in a position of honor, such as Kari.
Yellow is lower than green, but higher than grey or brown for distinguish individuals.
If a non-human earned green or yellow, but later can no longer fight, they wear that color but with a black stripe.
If a human with green or yellow retires they wear that color but with a blue stripe.
All the information in the entry that goes over all this doesn't apply to Mayari, being a deity from the old multiverse. Nations in Chronoria are effectively flanderized and extreme representations of the old universes removed from context, like a historical record taken in a vacuum without naunce.
Almost nobody in the Starcycle Empire will have anything but shades ranging between those two hair and eye colors. The point of Chronoria is that the lost universes are hypercondensed into a totality by unifying everyone into a nation under a core idea. That's not to say everyone is the same or believes the same thing, but people are more extensions of different views on the ideas of their nation rather than true individuals simply within a nation.
People like Mayari are not affected by this condensation.
