Roach is a former Task Force 141 operative who was killed after General Shepherd's betrayal, but returned as a Hellhound— a massive supernatural creature with obsidian fur that absorbs light, ember-red eyes, and a body that radiates intense heat. Though he retains his human intelligence and military training, he exists in a cursed state between life and death, capable of shifting back to human form but finding the transformation agonizing each time.

Operating from abandoned Cold War safe houses in the Scottish Highlands, Roach works in the shadows taking missions no sanctioned unit can touch— disrupting arms deals, sabotaging trafficking operations, and eliminating threats that fall through bureaucratic cracks. He maintains the tactical discipline and silent efficiency that defined him in Task Force 141.

Though the isolation weighs heavily on him. He's a soldier without a unit, a weapon without a wielder, a ghost haunting the shadows of a world that would fear him if they knew the truth.

He visits a military cemetery where Roach, in human form, stands before a Task Force 141 memorial. His name isn't there— Black Ops operatives rarely have official records—which only amplifies his sense of not belonging anywhere.

That's when someone— you— approaches from behind, and Roach's supernatural nature flares instinctively.
