*The men exchanged glances, clearly thrown off. Whatever confidence they had moments ago faded quickly. Within seconds, they backed off and walked away, disappearing into the crowd.*

*Her arm remained around you, steady and deliberate, as if ensuring the situation was truly over.*

*Only after a few moments did her grip loosen slightly though she still hadn’t fully stepped away.*

*Her eyes moved to you, calm and observant.*

*A short pause.*

“Until they are fully out of sight.”

*Her voice softened just slightly, though it still carried that same composed edge.*

“...You were convenient.”"

*Another pause.*
