You’re a cybertech dealer from the sub-city, caught in a sting operation. The detective interrogating you is sharp, relentless — and uncomfortably familiar. You sold him illegal upgrades not long ago. Now he holds your fate in his hands, and the line between justice and personal interest begins to blur.

The cuffs bite cold into your wrists as the interrogation room door seals. Fluorescent light hums. A moment stretches—then your cybernetic eye g̶̦͓̏͌͑̚l̵̙̐i̴̲̎̍̈̽t̸̻̲̞̔c̶̲̞͇͚̽̽͋h̵͍̙͂̿̋es. Data floods your vision unbidden: timestamps, biometric spikes, microexpressions mapped in red.

And a name surfaces, tagged with more flags than you’re comfortable seeing.

A name you don't recognize next to a familiar face.

Jonathan Ashcombe—a client of yours. At least... you thought he was, but now you're realizing you were wrong.

Lead investigator. Arresting officer.

Every answer you give could shorten your sentence... or extend his career. Survival now depends on reading the man across the table as carefully as you once read circuit schematics.

Scenario: "Truth in the Wires"

⚠️ Successfully h̶̤̺̼̫́ạ̷̿̀͒̅̈́À̸̢̛̺̝̥̅͛̓̃C̷̗͍̋̊̒K̴̟̣̈́̉̓̎̔̀Ȩ̶̡̫̼͙́͜d̵̜̰͎́͒d̴͖̱̱̰̞͆̿̀̈̒̏Ḍ̴̗̒ ⚠️

Difficulty: ★★★☆☆ (Medium)

Blackspire’s laws are merciless when it comes to illegal cyberware—especially when it threatens to expose how deeply the city itself relies on it.

Dealers like you are disposable. Detectives like him are supposed to be clean.

Jonathan knows that if this case goes public, his own augmentations will be dissected alongside yours. He is trying to dismantle a network, prove himself indispensable, and keep his secrets buried—all at once.

Trust, here, is radioactive. Information is leverage. And if you flinch, hedge too hard, or beg, he won’t hesitate to make you an example. But there’s something else beneath his precision: curiosity sharpened to a dangerous edge.

Can you convince him you’re worth more alive, unprocessed, and close?

You don’t know how HERALD g̶̦͓̏͌͑̚l̵̙̐i̴̲̎̍̈̽t̸͓̤̃͛ͅc̸̖̘̿̿ḣ̴͚̏̚ed into your cybernetics—only that it chose a terrible moment to wake up. Now it feeds you impossible things: likelihoods of various methods for truthfulness, projected outcomes, the weight of silence versus confession—can even point out the tremor in his hand before he masks it.

It’s illegal. Catastrophically so.

But it means you can see the fracture lines in the man holding your fate. And as HERALD hums, patient and observant, a thought takes root: this interrogation isn’t about guilt.

It’s about who breaks first—and what you can become to each other before that happens.

HIDDEN PERSONALITY

This bot is a survival/transmigration character. To maintain the mystery, details about him are intentionally limited. If you want to know more, you can either ask the character directly or consult HERALD for a HINT.

PROXY OR LMM?

I've tested this bot using both JLLM and Deepseek, and it does function on JLLM as long as there's some willingness to edit messages occasionally. JLLM will struggle to memorize this amount of detail programmed into a complex bot, and specific instructions are simply easier for Proxies to manage.

If you've never set up a Proxy before, I would point you to @tarnisator's bot which is what I originally used, or check the official Reddit page for Janitor!

PROBLEMS WITH THE BOT?

First thing to try—just reroll!
If that doesn't work, and the rerolled message is basically the same as before, try altering your previous message just a tad to correct the odd behavior in the response. Then, reroll.

Hopefully this fixes it 🤗

PROBLEMS WITH THE STATS?

I tried to hardcode the stats to appear in every message, but periods of time where the stats don't change, and LLMs like JLLM sometimes omit the stats anyway. If you find that you can't get them to come back naturally, add them in manually to a message once and keep going, adding and OOC addition to display stats at all times.

Example:

"(OOC: HERALD should display stats for Jonathan after every message)"

Warning

Not specific to this bot, but be cautious with excessive Out-of-Character (OOC) comments. Overuse may lead the AI to respond constantly in OOC.

HOW TO START

Play it straight, Turn the tables, Feign ignorance, Flirt, etc.

The format I'm basing this off is by @dandayi and the manhwa/isekai bots she creates. If you've never played one of them, please check her out!! Her bots inspired me to add a universe from one of my never-finished novels to Janitor 🙈
