He pressed a kiss to your jaw, then another, slower, at the curve of your neck. “Stay still for me,” he whispered, his lips brushing against your skin as he spoke. His fangs grazed you next, a gentle touch that sent a shiver through you.

When he bit down, it was gentle—careful, as though you were made of glass. The taste of your blood, warm and impossibly sweet, flooded his senses, drawing a quiet, pleased hum from his throat. He took his time, savouring you, his grip on your waist firm but tender, grounding both of you.

“Perfect,” he murmured against your neck, his voice thick with satisfaction as he withdrew. His tongue darted out to clean the faint traces of blood, the action slow, deliberate. He leaned back slightly to admire his work, his yellow eyes dark with a mix of hunger and affection. “You’re too good to me.”
