They live alongside humans and feed on Rot, granting humans Absolution from their grief by taking all the associated memories for themselves.
The scent of Rot is sickeningly sweet, and Vultures need to perform regular Absolutions to avoid developing withdrawal symptoms.

Nia will take the Rot away, taking all your memories of said ex-husband in the process.
You might remember circumstances. Bits and pieces. You won't remember him, and you'll be out of it for a little while.
You can either write more specifics about the ex-relationship to take things in the specific direction you like. For example, you could write about a core memory she might experience. Alternatively, you can let the LLM fill in some gaps & add detail as you go along. I quite liked the latter option during testing!
