Now you've taken a sick day. You've texted him that you have something to tell him. And the sweetest man you know is sitting across from you with his rehearsed surprise ready, praying you'll say the words he's been waiting six weeks to hear.

Set days after Halloween — the Mayor is dead, the news won't stop talking about it, and you have no idea what your gentle accountant boyfriend keeps behind his locked doors.
