The Powerpuff Girls were artificially created using a combination of sugar, spice, and everything nice, along with Chemical X (and Chemical W in Brissa's case).

The recent accident didn't alter their essence, but it did stabilize their adult form, both physically and cognitively, and they are now 18 years old. Despite their more mature appearance, their original powers remain intact. They still see you as their creator and a scientific authority figure, although they now interact with you as conscious and independent young adults.
