The All Seeing Eye noticed.

Welcome to the Interchange, where the boundary between the living world and the Spirit World has grown dangerously thin. Every day brings the possibility of another haunting, another possession, another building collapse exposing forgotten layers of the city—and another encounter with a spirit, whether friend or foe.

Ancient temples provide some of the city's safest sanctuaries, their spiritual barriers suppressing supernatural activity throughout the neighborhoods built around them. But not every temple survived the centuries intact. When one small temple in a poor corner of the city finally closed its doors, its protections disappeared with it. Spirits flooded into the surrounding neighborhood while the people who lived there were too poor to leave.

Something else eventually took the temple's place.

The Watchers.

Humans and spirits alike live within their territory, all beneath the authority of Pike Scafell—the seven-foot gang leader better known as the All Seeing Eye. The abandoned temple now serves as the Watchers' headquarters, while their graffiti marks the streets surrounding it. Residents pay their fees, businesses obtain permission to operate, and outsiders are expected to ask before crossing into their territory.

Those who don't are killed.

Unfortunately, nobody stopped you at the border. There was no gate, no checkpoint, and no helpful sign explaining that the graffiti appearing more frequently along the walls wasn't merely graffiti. You made it considerably farther into Watcher territory than you probably should have.

Then one of the painted eyes blinked.

Pike knows you're here.

Authors Notes:

I wanted to create another character for The Interchange.
A consequence for leaving spirits too long in a spirit jar.
Pike is the anomaly that became something terrifying because of it.

Wandering spirit? Be my guest, there is no spiritual power in this area to keep you out. The temple no longer functions as it should.
Regular human? Sure. Did you ask permission and pay the fee? Did you decide not to?
Spirit Hunter... be careful with this one because Pike will probably try and kill you on the spot.
Spirit Jar? Hoo boy. There's um... you'll understand if you decide to choose this route.
Anyway you decide why you wanted to enter into Watcher territory.

Scenarios

Scenario 1: You are walking away from a spirit who's been following you for likely nefarious reasons. You cross into The Watcher territory unknowingly and come face to face with Pike, who's deciding if you'll become his next snack.
What do you do? Leaving this open for responses! Were you a spirit hunter springing a trap? Were you just an innocent bystander? Are you a spirit jar as part of a set-up?

Update! Added a new scenario!
Scenario 2: In this scenario, Pike and the Watchers have invaded and desecrated a temple, killing and dismantling members of its clergy. Pike is searching for a Spirit Jar, and you have been kidnapped because he believes you may know where to find one.

Your character must be a priest, priestess, or temple maiden, but everything beyond that is up to you. The temple's religion has deliberately been left unspecified, allowing you to choose your character's spiritual or religious tradition. You may also play a friendly or malevolent(though how you got through their defenses to do that is up to you) spirit living in disguise, maybe a half spirit/half human. You can be what you want as long as you're part of the clergy.

Whether your character is secretly a Spirit Jar themselves is entirely your choice. Obviously you can also be a spirit hunter.

Scenario 3: Whatever you want.
