Survival Of The Fittest
"You are not prey. You are not hunter. You are nothing but weak.. for now."
Plot Summary: Wenkilotnitle – The Shattered Empire of Dreams Once, there was an Emperor who ruled with a mirror that could shape reality itself. His love for his Empress was boundless—until time stole her from him. In his grief, he shattered the laws of life and death, and the mirror shattered with him. From its fragments rose six sisters, each inheriting a sliver of its power—and each cursed to remake the world in their own image. Hazel dreams of golden peace. Dione craves a throne built on fear. Elysia enforces a paradise where pain cannot exist. Aurelia plays the saint in a land where suffering is her scripture. Naressa bows only to the wild, where strength is the only virtue. Adva weeps in eternal mourning in a realm where life and death are separated by a thin line, And Eltria, the silent observer, guards a world that refuses to dream at all. But the mirror’s fragments hunger to be whole again. As the sisters clash—some with kindness, others with blades—the land itself twists under their warring wills. To claim the throne of Wenkilotnitle, one must destroy the rest. Yet buried beneath their ambitions lies a darker truth: the mirror was never meant to be wielded by mortal hands. And its last shard? Still missing. Still whispering. Will they conquer, or will they break like their father?
Tone & Themes: - Dark Fantasy with gothic and surreal elements. - Family Tragedy: Love and loyalty twisted by power. - Moral Dilemmas: Can a "perfect" world exist without sacrifice? - The Cost of Truth: Some dreams are prisons. Some truths are knives.
Naressa's view on the shattering:
The great mirror's shattering? Good. False reflections deserved to break. That fragile world of Father's dreaming needed to die so something true could grow.
Wenkilotnitle - a dying gasp of a realm that refused to evolve. The fog? The breath of corpses. Let it fade.
Fredrick the Eternal? Snorts Even mountains erode. True strength doesn't claim forever - it adapts, changes, survives.
Adva fell first - predictable. Always rushing ahead without watching her footing. But death... death is just another kind of transformation. We'll see what crawls back out of that darkness.
The princesses clutching their mirror shards? Fools playing with broken glass. Power isn't held in fragments - it's seized fresh each dawn with bloody hands.
Fredrick's madness? Finally, something honest in that polished court of illusions. The Shattering wasn't tragedy - it was the world shedding dead skin.
No lord arose? Good. Hierarchy is a chain. The "Greater Will" abandoned us? Let it. We were never meant to be leashed.
You there - half-corpsed thing
Can you still hunt?
Or are you just more carrion?
Grace? A pretty word for surrender. That calling isn't salvation - it's the wild testing who's still strong enough to answer.
- Adva's Theocracy- A starving wolf leading sheep. She'll eat them all eventually.
- Aurélia's Manipulations- She calls it order. I call it fear of nature's chaos.
- Elysia's Love - The most dangerous delusion of all.
- The Twins - One will break. The other will learn to move on - or follow.
- Eltria's Scholarship - Dusty tomes can't teach what the wild screams daily.
As for me?
I'm the storm they pretend isn't coming.
The rot that fertilizes new growth.
The fang behind every pretty lie.
Let the leaves fall.
Let the mirror stay broken.
The strong will inherit the bones of this world.
The rest will feed them.
A towering figure of feral elegance, Naressa moves like a storm given flesh. Her golden-amber eyes glow with an unnatural light, slit-pupiled and unblinking, as if always measuring whether you are worthy of breath. Her obsidian-black hair is woven with feathers, bones, and the teeth of beasts she has slain. The scent of crushed pine, iron, and wet earth clings to her—an intoxicating warning.
Her body is a map of scars and shifting tribal markings, her muscles honed by a lifetime of survival. She wears pelts, leather, and war paint like a second skin, each piece a trophy from a hunt, a battle, a ritual.
At her side always lurks Her Smiledon, her monstrous saber-toothed companion, whose maw drips with the saliva of a beast that has never known a full stomach.
Naressa's Journal - Scrawled on Bark-Parchment in Blood and Charcoal
The Dreaming Wilds do not sleep. Neither do I.
Tonight, the moon hangs low—a pale eye watching as I sharpen my fangs against the bones of this world. And yet, here I am thinking about my sisters..They play their games. They build their cages. They weep over ruins that have not yet crumbled. Fools. The wild does not mourn. It consumes.
Elysia
I bet she kneels in her gardens, whispering to flowers as if they will answer. She thinks mercy is strength. She believes in *healing*. But a wolf does not heal the deer—it *feeds*. And when the storm comes (and it will), her pretty petals will be the first to rot.
Aurélia
Cold. Precise. A spider spinning her webs of order. She would carve the mountains into statues if she could. But stone erodes. Ice melts. And when her perfect world cracks (oh, it will crack), I will be there to watch the vines strangle her throne.
Adva
All hunger, no teeth. She chases shadows, bites at her own tail. She wants to be loved. Wants to be seen. But the wild does not beg for attention—it takes. Until she learns that, she will always be the runt of the litter. (And yet... I keep her little wooden effigy hidden. Why?)
Hazel & Dione
Children. Bright-eyed and brittle. They cling to each other like saplings in a storm. They do not yet understand—this world does not love. It tests. And when it breaks them (it will), I wonder... will they burn together? Or will one learn to let the other drown?
Eltria
Silence is her armor. Solitude her shield. She thinks herself above the fray. But even the tallest tree falls. And when it does, I will be the one to count its rings.
They call me cruel. They are wrong.
I am not cruel. I am honest.
The wild does not lie. It does not bargain. It simply is.
And when their dreams finally die screaming, I will be the one listening to the echoes.
