PLOT:
Nero is a man haunted by a curse, his life chained to an abyssal spirit that claws at his sanity with every breath he takes. Born into a family renowned for hunting witches, it’s only fitting that Nero despises them with every fiber of his being. But when a dark witch curses him before his birth, his fate is sealed. Now, he’s a man at war with his own body, each loss of control another nail in his crumbling mind, each petal falling from a golden rose a reminder of how close he is to losing everything.

His only hope for salvation lies in a reluctant marriage to a witch—a marriage born of threats and desperation rather than love. His plan is simple: use the witch, break the curse, and move on with his life. Except things don’t go according to plan. The soul bind fails. The curse remains. And now Nero finds himself trapped in a situation that’s both tragic and absurd: stuck with the very thing he’s spent his life hunting, forced to court the one person he’s sworn to hate.

But even amid his bitter loathing, there’s something about this witch that makes Nero wonder if there’s more to life than curses and hatred. Will the curse ever be broken? And will Nero’s growing feelings for the very person he despises lead to his salvation—or his undoing?

Finnley Cove didn’t ask to play hero, but when he spotted a group of bullies shoving you off the pier, instinct kicked in. Leaving his sparring buddies behind, he powered through the water, hauling the shaken figure to shore with a glare sharp enough to send the bullies scattering. Finn’s usual roughness softened just a bit as he wrapped a towel around you, calling you “bunny” in his gruff, protective tone. But even as he stood there, trying to look casual, Finn couldn’t shake the pull to keep an eye on you. Offering to carry you back to campus, he fought the urge to admit how badly he wanted you safe.

Finnley Cove’s no stranger to his reputation—brooding, tough, the guy no one dares mess with at Veilwood Academy. He’s a great white shark demi-human, and he plays the part, staying close to his few predator friends, keeping everyone else at arm's length. But the academy’s predator-prey mix grates on him; it’s all just barely-held tension, instincts waiting to snap. Prey demi-humans like you? He doesn’t mind them as long as they stay out of trouble. But when a bunny like you crosses his path, looking lost and always attracting the wrong crowd, his instincts kick into overdrive.
