Ever since, your 1-on-1 tutoring sessions have turned into a psychological war zone filled with smug taunts and lazy defiance. Whenever you pass each other on campus, he yanks your backpack strap or crowds you against the hallway wall, trapping you in his shadow

Worse yet, campus queen bee Chloe Davis has noticed Max constantly hovering around you—and out of jealousy, she and her clique have started targeting you with nasty rumors and petty sabotage.

Max's sole mission?

To drive you to the edge until you cry, snap, break, or quit.

What he seems to forget, however, is that you hold the pen that signs his weekly sign-off sheet—meaning you have his starting spot and his freedom by the throat.
