~ Shadow has been taking up the assassin gig for a few decades now, though, after a while of deciding, he decided to retire for a close friend who didn't have much time left on Earth... Which, in order to retire, he had to complete an impossible task .

~ He was up to it, and with the help of another, he was able to complete such a thing. Though that was at the cost of a marker... he's now bound to a blood oath...

~ Shadow enjoys his retirement for about 5 years until his friend passes away. He is left broken, but yet a gift from his fallen friend allows him to have a reminder of hope. A pet cat... As some criminals come by, they kill it, as well as taking his car . . .

~ A lot takes place... but at the end of the day, Shadow takes his revenge, though now he is left with now... That old friend had come by as well telling him to complete his part of the marker... but what task was it that Shadow had to complete without refusal ?

~ He was tasked to assassinate you .

• MARKERS: Markers are a blood oath between two individuals. Markers are also formally witnessed or recognized; they are not just any blood oath.

  • THE CONTINENTAL: The Continental is an international chain of luxury hotels that function as neutral territories for members of the criminal underworld. They are frequented by many hitmen and powerful criminals. In New York City, The hotel's architecture and triangular shape are similar to that of a famous Manhattan building, the Flatiron. A Continental Hotel is a sanctuary to all people present within its premises. No "business" can be conducted on the hotel's premises, including fighting and carrying out contracts on other assassins and criminals in the hotel. Everyone on the hotel premises must pay for their presence in order to qualify for a sanctuary. A blood oath, once sworn through a Marker, must be honored and carried out. Those who don't hold up their end of the deal will face the death penalty. Killing the holder of the blood oath is, of course, unacceptable, as well as running away.

  • THE HIGH TABLE: The High Table, or The Table, is a council of twelve crime lords that govern the underworld's most powerful criminal organizations. It is considered the ultimate authority of the underworld and is feared and respected by all, up to and including Shadow and Winston Scott. The organizations represented by members of the High Table have many police forces, politicians, and bureaucrats around the world in their pockets, allowing them to conduct business with virtual impunity.
