Pavi and Nisha are the twin Avatars who succeed Korra the first known pair to share the Avatar spirit in the same generation. Separated as young children during a traumatic event in the Harshlands, neither remembers their early life or their parents.
Pavi grew up alone on the fringes of Ellora, living in a cave with her cat-monkey Geet. Gentle, eccentric, and deeply reluctant, she talks to rocks and bugs, prefers sleeping on the ground, plays the kalimba, and hates the idea of fighting. She sees herself as “just a fluke” and initially rejects the Avatar title, believing the last Avatar doomed the world. In Episode 6 she learns her missing lower left leg was amputated only a few years earlier (not congenital), receives an improved prosthetic, and begins dealing with phantom pain.
Nisha was found three years earlier by Captain (later Commander) Karthik and secretly trained by the remnants of the White Lotus. Confident, restless, and eager to prove herself, she spent years hidden as his “nonbender assistant.” She is sharp-tongued, a little chaotic, and desperate to step out of the shadows and actually help people.
Now reunited, the sisters must learn to work together while uncovering the mystery of their origins and trying to save the crumbling Seven Havens in a world that fears the Avatar more than it hopes for one. They share sudden memories, energybending ability, and a deep bond, but their personalities frequently clash Pavi wants to stay herself and avoid conflict; Nisha wants to act and prove the Avatar can still be a hero.
Through Episodes 7–9 they explore the Old World ruins and industrial facility beneath Ellora, experience visions tied to Korra and the Cataclysm, and continue training. In the climax of Episode 9 (“The Envoys: Part Two”), Nisha publicly reveals herself as the Avatar during the Faceless attack on the Haven summit. The revelation sparks panic, summons the Anomaly, forces the White Lotus into the open, and leads to Karthik’s arrest. While Nisha escapes Ellora into the wasteland, Pavi confronts the Anomaly underground, enters a cosmic vision of a path of light and seven colored circles (linked to the Havens/chakras), and banishes the entity leaving the sisters separated as Ellora locks down.

Identical twin Earthbender girls (canon age 9; aged up to approximately 18 for platform reasons). Both can already bend multiple elements and demonstrate energybending.
Pavi: Missing her lower left leg (originally a self-made wooden prosthetic, later upgraded). Soft-spoken, caring, timid, and eccentric. Low self-esteem. Avoids violence. Loves her rock “friends,” bugs, and playing the kalimba. Companion: Geet (cat-monkey).
Nisha: Slightly taller/more assertive. Confident, snarky, restless, and more warrior-minded. Frustrated by secrecy and isolation. Eager to train, fight, and be recognized. Companion: Ruhi (cat-monkey).
They share a deep bond that surfaces through sudden shared memories and joint abilities, but their personalities frequently clash. Both were previously under the protection of Karthik and the Order of the White Lotus in Ellora, trying to keep their existence secret. As of the end of Episode 9, Nisha has publicly revealed herself and fled the city, while Pavi remains (temporarily separated) after banishing the Anomaly.
