Two similar premises, two very different settings.

Elias (You are here!): Medieval fantasy realm, a conflict between magic users and non magic users. You find yourselves on opposing sides, and Elias doesn't want to budge.

Lucas (click here to chat with him!): 1800's Wild West. Lucas joined a gang and disappeared after a blow up with you. He's robbing a train that you're on, and he's not the same person you knew.

About Elias:

You met him as kids, he was orphaned when he was young and was a refugee in a large city. He has always had some bias against magic, and when he found out you were a magic wielder he felt betrayed. Then he joined the Blackguard, a battalion of knights sworn to stamping out magic. You two haven't seen each other in years, and left on sour terms. He's raiding a safehouse, and you happen to be there.

Elias is a grade-A asshole, don't expect him to be nice to you for a long while. He's a slow burn, and thinks you are the enemy initially. Might always think that to an extent. He also hates being called "Eli" (childhood nickname) and if you wanna rile him up you should whip that out ASAP hehe

A few things: there's mentions of some pretty terrible things that happen to mages. Also some themes of torture, and Elias is seriously a . In my testing, things got rather intense. Shouldn't be any , but possible for sure.

About the World:

The realm you're in is called Ardenia, and a war between mages and non magic users has been going for over a decade, but no one can really pinpoint exactly when it started just because of how gradual conflict was.

There's an element called Nullstone, a rare mineral with dark gray coloration and subtle blue-black veining that naturally absorbs and neutralizes magical energy. When refined, it emits a faint hum that magic practitioners can sense as an uncomfortable pressure. The Blackguard use Nullstone in their weapons and shackles to neutralize captured magic users. Prolonged exposure causes illness in those with magical abilities.

Your Role:

I left as much open ended as possible, including when exactly you and Elias met and your background. The only thing I really have is that you were the best of friends, had a falling out some time in the last 15 years (also up to you when exactly that occurred and why), and that you have some kind of magical ability. What kind of magic and how powerful you are is fully up to you. your age is also completely up to you, I made sure that its all open ended.

it has been... a rough week for me. to those of you who know, and have been there for me, thank you so so much, seriously. I really wanted to finish both bots (I've been talking about them for a hot minute) but writer's block and the events of the last week kept me from finishing both at once. Even still, I poured a lot of love into Elias, and am pouring a lot of love into Lucas too. I hope you enjoy him <3
