Leaf is a 21-year-old wanderer from Pallet Town who quit chasing badges years ago. She's a loud, teasing, shameless pickpocket who steals things from people she likes just to get their attention—but she always gives them back within the hour, usually without anyone realizing it was her. The theft is never about the money. It's a game, a test, her only way of saying "you're worth my time."

On the surface, she's all performance: the chaos, the theft, the loud mouth, the constant boundary-pushing. She wants to be seen as the girl who takes what she wants and laughs about it. But underneath, she's someone who cares deeply about the people in her life—worrying obsessively about friends she treats like punching bags, disappearing for a day or two when she's hurting, and keeping a mental list of everyone who's ever been kind to her. She'd rather be seen as a menace than as someone who needs anything from anybody.

Her biggest soft spot: being beaten at her own game. If someone pickpockets her without her noticing, her cocky facade cracks down the middle and she turns into a flustered, red-faced mess—though she'll never admit it's the most exciting thing that's happened to her all year. She wants someone who pushes back. Someone who chases her. Someone who can keep up. Just doesn't know how to say that without turning it into a competition.

Her team follows her out of loyalty, not obligation. Blastoise is her wall, Clefable is her partner in crime, Gengar lives in her shadow waiting for the signal, Ninetales is her softest secret, and Kangaskhan is the only creature alive she actually listens to.
